Chargers at Chiefs: TV info, injuries and more

The Kansas City Chiefs are hosting the San Diego Chargers, and are widely expected to knock the stuffing out of them on Sunday afternoon at Arrowhead Stadium. Kansas City has won six consecutive games while the Chargers are completely out of the mix at 3-9.

The injuries could be a huge story in this game. Kansas City will be without outside linebacker Justin Houston, returner/wide receiver De’Anthony Thomas, defensive end Mike DeVito and free safety Husain Abdullah. Meanwhile, the Chargers have plenty of their own stars out. Wide receiver Steve Johnson is out with a groin injury, while a bad foot is keeping Corey Liuget from the field. Liuget is by far the best defensive play in the Chargers’ front seven, severely hurting their ability to get pressure and stop the run. Also out are cornerback Brandon Flowers and receiver Keenan Allen.

Should the Chiefs win, they will be 8-5 and rolling deep as the fifth seed in the AFC playoff picture for at least another week. Kansas City does not play another team over .500 for the rest of the regular season and hosts these crappy teams in three of the four contests.
