Chiefs at Raiders: AA lounge

The Kansas City Chiefs are trying to get to 7-5. The Oakland Raiders are hoping to get to 6-6 and take over second place in the AFC West.

With this backdrop, Kansas City visits Oakland at the O.co Coliseum on Sunday afternoon in hopes of getting a huge win before the final quarter of the season. The Chiefs lost a brutal game there last season, when they went into the contest with a five-game winning streak only top fall 24-20 to the winless Raiders.

Oakland is one of the up-and-coming teams in the National Football League, but it has an awful defense and barely beat the Tennessee Titans last week. The prior three games were all defeats, something that might have sunk the Raiders’ playoff chances.

If the Chiefs are going to run the table, this has to be considered the largest remaining obstacle. Kansas City has three of its final four games at home including the San Diego Chargers, Cleveland Browns and Raiders in Week 17. The only road game comes against the Baltimore Ravens, who are starting Matt Schaub.

Going into Sunday, the Chiefs are the fifth seed in the AFC. After starting the season 1-5 and losing Jamaal Charles, this turnaround has been insanely beautiful.
