Chiefs favored to beat Raiders

The Kansas City Chiefs might be the hottest team in the National Football League this side of the Carolina Panthers. Next week, the Chiefs will visit the Oakland Raiders at O.co Coliseum and Vegas continues to show them ample love.

Kansas City is favored by three points over Oakland on the road, according to OddsShark. The OVER/UNDER line is 44.5. When you consider that the Chiefs are the visiting team, Vegas is basically saying that they are a touchdown better than the Raiders on a neutral field, and would be either nine or 10-point favorites at Arrowhead Stadium.

I feel like that is the correct line. The Raiders did beat the Tennessee Titans at LP Field this Sunday, but they did not look dominant by any means, winning by a field goal. Meanwhile, Kansas City started the season in awful fashion but have won five straight and look like one of the best teams in football over the past two months.

If the Chiefs win this game, there should be legitimate talk starting to surface about whether or not they can run the regular-season table. Kansas City only has one road game remaining in the final quarter of the season, and that is against a Baltimore Ravens team that is without Joe Flacco, Justin Forsett, Steve Smith and Terrell Suggs. The three home games are also against bad teams, including the San Diego Chargers, Cleveland Browns and Raiders.

This season has been a circus. Enjoy it.
