The Kansas City Chiefs have their last preseason game of the 2015 preseason on Thursday. Their last game sees them face their interstate rival, the St. Louis Rams.

The upcoming game will feature a heavy dose of Chase Daniel and the two’s and three’s throughout the game.

For now, star players like running back Jamaal Charles, Jeremy Maclin, Travis Kelce and Alex Smith, and more, will be enjoying the game from the sidelines.

This game will be important for head coach Andy Reid and general manager John Dorsey in deciding the remaining players to make the 53-man roster, as the last of the roster cuts must be made in less than a week. But rather than talk about the upcoming game the Chiefs will face against the Rams, let’s skip ahead to the beginning of the 2015 season as the team heads south to take on the Houston Texans.

The Texans are kind of a sleeper team. They have a great defense, led by defensive player of the year JJ Watt, and a secondary that looks like it could next the next step. They have had good players on offense, minus abysmal quarterback play, over the last two years.

Despite all that, they still managed to make it to 9-7 in 2014 and will look to improve on that in 2015.

There are some analysts out there that actually have the Chiefs losing their first game of the season against Watt and company, something that seems unlikely.

The Texans took a huge blow to their offense, and many to their fantasy drafts, as running back Arian Foster went down with a groin injury requiring surgery. This has left the team with a huge hole and big piece of their offense missing.

Quarterback Brian Hoyer was named the starter recently and he has shown moments of quality play, and then you have what seemed like the entire second half of the season for the Cleveland Browns where he was awful.

The Texans are in no way a sure thing for the Chiefs, and they will need to play good on offense, especially on the offensive line, to come away with a win.

With that in mind, let’s take a look at the three keys to winning, deep in the heart of Texas.
