It’s Fun To Be A Chiefs Fan Again!

Oh how far we have come.

Many low’s since that day.

My tickets were not worth the paper they were printed on.

I couldn’t give them away when if I decided not to go, even though I always went.

Herm Edwards was the coach, Brodie Croyle was the quarterback. “Worst team in the NFL” was the label we had back then.

Things looked like they could change when we acquired the cast-off backup quarterback from the Patriots, as well as their cast-off chief of player personnel or whatever that idiot that became our replacement for Carl Peterson had been.  We snagged a cast-off Arizona Cardinals offensive coordinator, and we had new hope.

We even won a division title, (or had it handed to us).

Then after another downturn, we got another failed head coach and the whole thing wound up with the horrible suicide of one of our players in front of the head coach and GM.

How could things get worse?

Well they couldn’t I guess, so they got better.

A quality head coach from Philadelphia (our third from that team actually), a quality quarterback and we had hope once again.

And actual success.

Now my preseason tickets are worth, well something.

The stadium is full all the time, the tailgating is incredible once again, and I am not the only one in Springfield who thinks we could go to the Superbowl.

And best of all when I say it’s fun, my heart agrees.
