Good morning, Addicts! This is a beautiful Monday because for the first time this year, the Kansas City Chiefs will be in pads at training camp. The practice will be live, meaning that everyone but the quarterback is going to be getting some contact down on the field. For the last time in 2015, I will be on the scene before moving the rest of my vacation elsewhere. Then, come Saturday, I’ll be back, writing like a maniac.

Jamaal Charles compares himself to LeBron JamesAdam Teicher of ESPN.com

"Kansas City Chiefs running back Jamaal Charles is usually the focus of attention from opposing defenses. The attention gets so much that he said he can feel at times like LeBron James."

Alex Smith, Jeremy Maclin suddenly have no chemistry Adam Teicher of ESPN.com

"Quarterback Alex Smith and wide receiver Jeremy Maclin connected on several passes a day earlier but looked like strangers in this practice. At least three times Smith threw one way while an open Maclin cut another, the result being an incomplete pass each time. Offensive coordinator Doug Pederson said it was far too early to worry."

Chiefs cut LaVance Taylor, the man who tweeted his YouTube video at themJoel Thorman of Arrowhead Pride

"Taylor was a nice local story but he was always a long shot. Based on the release of Cyrus Gray, the Chiefs seem to like Charcandrick West. He’s the one someone would have to beat out, which is a tough task for someone just coming into the program."

Hall of Fame profile: Will ShieldsCelia Balf of Yahoo Sports

"Shields was the third-round, 74th overall pick of the Kansas City Chiefs in the 1993 draft. His first start was the second game of that season, Sept. 12 against the Houston Oilers. In that rookie season, Shields made an immediate impact, leading the Chiefs to their first division title since 1971. He would become a bedrock in the Chiefs’ starting lineup."
