Good morning, Addicts! It’s the final day of June, which means we are rolling into the crux of summer. It also means that July 4 is right around the corner, and that means fireworks, barbeque and good times with friends and family. After that, only a few more weeks until the Kansas City Chiefs hit training camp. It’s a great time.

Here’s the news from around the web on the Chiefs:

Candidates for the right guard jobJoel Thorman of Arrowhead Pride

"Jeff Allen is the wild card here because we don’t really know a whole lot about how the Chiefs feel about him. They moved him to right tackle when it came out that Donald Stephenson was getting suspended last year. Then Allen went down with a season-ending injury so we don’t have as much to evaluate with him under Reid as others."

Top five Kansas City special teams plays of 2015Pete Sweeney of KCChiefs.com

"The Kansas City offense had already possessed the ball twice, but it was unsuccessful on both drives. The defense held Derek Carr and the Raiders on third-and-20, and Oakland punter Marquette King line up at the 24-yard line."

Alex Smith, Jeremy Maclin couldn’t be in better placeB.J. Kissel of KCChiefs.com

"For Maclin, whether it was running through plays in 11-on-11 drills, talking in meeting rooms after practice or simply communicating what they’re seeing from the defense between plays, he had high praise for how well he and Smith have clicked since he arrived in Kansas City."
