Houston’s future is uncertain, Smith’s past is up for debate, and the Chiefs’ 2013 draft is up for re-evaluation.

On this episode of Roughing the Kicker, Joshua Brisco and Ryan Landreth take a look at

Yes, it’s the third week of February, but don’t be fooled into thinking that there isn’t a lot to talk about across the Chiefs Kingdom.

MNchiefsfan dissected Alex Smith’s 2014 campaign, so Ryan and I take that as a cue to discuss Smith’s past and future in regards to the article’s unique metrics and conclusions.

We have returning guest Scott Chasen on the show to talk about his love of Justin Houston, how he would handle the contract situation, and why the Chiefs should look to the offensive line in the first round of the draft.

Ryan and I then continue our series of draft re-evaluations as we step back another year, to 2013. We discuss the future of Eric Fisher, Travis Kelce, and the currently-still-Chief draftees while looking at the past of Nico Johnson, Braden Wilson, and the rest of the draft that did not stick around.

We also take a look at some recent news that may impact the Chiefs, including the almost-official return of Peyton Manning.

As always, thank you for listening, and tell us what you want to hear from RTK in the offseason.

(This show was recorded before the news of the Chiefs releasing AJ Jenkins and Donnie Avery – we will discuss those moves on next week’s episode.)
