Kansas City Chiefs Inactives: Anthony Fasano Is Active For Tonight’s Game

The biggest question coming into tonight was whether or not Anthony Fasano would be playing tonight for the Kansas City Chiefs. The answer?

Yes.

Fasano injured his knee in the Chiefs win over the Buffalo Bills and missed the game against the Seahawks this Sunday. He did practice, though in a limited capacity, this week and that was apparently enough for the Chiefs to activate him today.

As expected, out for the Chiefs are wide receivers Donnie Avery and A.J. Jenkins. Avery did get some practice time this week so one would think he has a good chance of returning to action next week against the Denver Broncos. For now the Chiefs will be very thin at wide receiver like they were on Sunday against the Seahawks.

The remainder of the Chiefs inactives: Chris Owens, Laurent Duvernay-Tardif, Aaron Murray, Jamell Fleming, and Eric Kush.

The Raiders also have their own problems with injuries. Cornerbacks T.J. Carrie and Carlos Rogers, and safety Jonathan Dowling are out for tonight’s game with injuries. This leaves Oakland with 38-year old Charles Woodson and second year corner DJ Haden to cover basically the entire secondary while also trying to slow down Jamaal Charles, De’Anthony Thomas, and Knile Davis. That should be fun for them.

On top of that, Gabe Jackson, one of the best offensive linemen, will be out for today’s game. Things just are not getting easier for the Raiders.

The rest of Oakland’s inactives includes Matt McGloin, Tony Bergstrom, and David Ausberry.
