Eric Berry And Justin Houston Tormented Michael Vick In Their Last Meeting

While we don’t know to what extent, Andy Reid confirmed that perennial Pro Bowler Eric Berry will play against the New York Jets.

“Eric will play, and we’ll just see how he does, see how he feels,” Reid added.

Last year, when the Kansas City Chiefs clashed with a Michael Vick-led Philadelphia Eagles squad, No. 29 plucked a deflected pass and recorded the first touchdown of the contest.

In addition to the pick-six, Berry tallied six tackles and limited pass-catchers to one reception (on four targets) for 16 yards.

Meanwhile, Justin Houston administered a dose of reality to Lane Johnson, ultimately posting 4.5 sacks, one forced fumble and two fumble recoveries.

As for Vick? He finished 13-of-30 for 201 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions. And that was when he was handing off to LeSean McCoy and flinging passes to DeSean Jackson. Furthermore, it was a home game.

Now, Vick is hours away from his first start with the Jets, and said start just happens to reside in the ear-splitting asylum known as Arrowhead.

He’ll also be operating a unit that Pro Football Focus (PFF) ranks last in passing and overall offense, and his 11 will be squaring off against a Chiefs defense that PFF ranks No. 2 in pass rush and No. 6 in coverage.

From Vick’s perspective, Week 9 contains every ingredient of a recurring nightmare.
