On Sunday, the Kansas City Chiefs lost to Peyton Manning. In other news, the grass is green (assuming you’re not at Mile High, in which case it would be brown…and turf…and sandpaper soft).
The Denver Broncos advanced to 2-0. The Chiefs dug a deeper grave.
However, if, prior to kickoff, you had told me that Kansas City would lose Jamaal Charles and Eric Berry—adding to the laundry list of hamstrung stars—yet would knock on the doorstep of a last-minute win, I would’ve told you to put the bottle down.
There isn’t a win column for moral victories, but in the wake of Week 1’s face-palming disaster, Andy Reid appears to be righting the once-sinking ship.
