The official injury report for week one of the season has been released for the Kansas City Chiefs-Tennessee Titans matchup. Here is how the in injury situation is shaping up.

PROBABLE

A.J. Jenkins (Concussion)

Eric Berry (Heel)

Mike DeVito (Hand)

Tamba Hali (Knee)

Junior Hemingway (Hip)

Josh Martin (Quad)

Vance Walker (Hand)

Albert Wilson (Ankle)

Anthony Sherman (Back)

Frank Zombo (Groin)

That’s a long list of names that seems scary but in actuality is not too concerning. All of these players participated in practice fully all week long and should be ready to go on Sunday given their ‘probable’ status.

If anything, this list is about returns. Hali, Hemingway, Wilson, and DeVito all missed preseason games due to injury and all are expected back on Sunday. Jenkins and Walker, both of whom suffered injuries in the Packers game, are back at full strength. Good news all around on that front.

The only name of concern here is Eric Berry, whose heel injury may be one we see on this list all season. We talked yesterday about his comments that he did not know if this was going to be a lingering issue or if it would heal and go away. Kansas City desperately needs him on the field as much as possible if they are going to make it through the first six games of the season without being pummeled.
