WHO WILL BE FIFTH AND SIXTH RECEIVERS?

Based on reports and logic it would seem Dwayne Bowe, Donnie Avery, Albert Wilson, and Frankie Hammond will be four of the six wide receivers on the roster for the Chiefs. Bowe is suspended for the one game so there is a chance the Chiefs keep an extra receiver for a week, but the battle is for the two spots that will still be there when Bowe returns.

The jobs appears to be down to Kyle Williams, A.J. Jenkins, Junior Hemingway, and Mark Harrison. All four bring different attributes to the Chiefs that the team currently does not have so it is going to be about how they separate themselves tonight on the field that will make the difference in their inclusion on the roster.

Jenkins has an advantage of his contract being full guaranteed for this season, which may mean he has an inside track on a job. Sure the Chiefs could just cut him and eat the money but that wouldn’t be the most efficient use of salary cap space. If there is a tie between him and, say, Kyle Williams it would likely mean Jenkins wins the toss because of his contract.
