The all important ‘Preseason Game Three’ is tonight at Arrowhead and the Chiefs could afford a good showing to calm some of the anxiety that is starting to build up around Chiefs Kingdom. A series of injuries and a suspension has left the roster a little more depleted than it was a week ago which means some of the backend guys on the roster need to step up and prove their worth.
All hope is not lost. The offense has actually moved the ball pretty well even with the shaky offensive line play, and when the defense has decided to attack they too have looked strong. Can the Chiefs build on what they’ve shown and sustain it even with all of the injuries and suspensions is going to be the question.
Remember, it is only the preseason. Let us stay resolve for the next two weeks to reserve our panic for just after the opening kickoff on September 7.
