Let’s us pretend the past week didn’t happen. Joe Mays didn’t break his wrist, Donald Stephenson didn’t get suspended, and only positive things can be said about the secondary and offensive line. Good vibes for all.
Tonight is the our opportunity to dream about the best of what the Chiefs could be. The starters will be in the game for about three quarters, we’ll get to see some depth to the packages the Chiefs are going to run, and we might see something of a game plan. This team, for all of it’s injuries, is a fast team, which could mean some exciting plays in all three phases of the game.
Let us dream of De’Anthony Thomas punt returns for touchdowns.
Let us dream of Travis Kelce running away from defensive backs.
Let us dream of Sean Smith interceptions returned for touchdowns.
Let us dream of Dee Ford sacking the quarterback and then celebrating with Justin Houston and Tamba Hali.
Let us dream of Jamaal Charles doing just about anything.
It is the preseason. If one can’t dream during the preseason then when can one dream?
