Offensive Line To Hold

If you did not see the Chiefs take on the Panthers. Let me paint you a picture. The Chiefs offensive line problems were showing in the game in that there was few and far between times when quarterback Alex Smith had a solid pocket to throw from.

Head Coach Andy Reid said former number one overall pick Fisher was still recovering from his shoulder surgery he had in the offseason. While this may be true, it is clear that Fisher is not living up the the hype that comes with being that number one pick. Is it possible that Fisher will recover? Yes it is certainly a possibility as the year progresses.

There were highlights in that when Smith had the time we was able to connect with Wide Receiver Dwayne Bowe which is nice seeing as they during the game seemed to be on the same page. Smith even took a hard shot to deleiver the ball to Bowe for a solid gain.

What to look for in the game against the Vikings? I look for the offensive line starters to stay in the game and work on creating a solid pocket from which Smith can effectively distribute the ball. Now the Vikings front seven are not near as good as Carolina but they have solid play from their secondary and Smith will need to find ways to get that ball out to his play makers.
