Fifteen days until training camp, folks. This is not a drill, football is almost upon us. To help get us ready for the season we are asking three important questions that need to be solved during the months of July and August at every position group. We continue said quest with the running back group.

Kansas City is blessed to have arguably the best running back in the NFL not named Adrian Peterson. Few people in football have a weapon like Charles, who can smash you at the line of scrimmage, blow by you on the edge, or kill you in the screen and short-yardage passing game. There are few better in the NFL who can take what appears to be a gain of nothing and turn it into a touchdown.

Having arguably the second best running back in the league does not mean there are still plenty of questions around the Chiefs running backs. Let’s get to the most pressing ones now.

The third running back should be McKnight or Thomas.

I don’t know how they will list DAT, but he will stay on the team.

As long as davis and dat chip in jc has at least 5 good ones left in em

DAT is going to be whatever they listed McCluster was. I personally think McKnight is going to get that third back job. I also think that we need to start seeing Davis taking some carries away from Charles so that Charles can last longer. the guy is a beast but father time catches us all. Charles had 250 carries last year compared to Davis 70. This year I would hope that is closer to 150 for Davis and 200 for Charles.

I am going to predict…oohmm…JC gets old, Davis gets injured, and the Turk will see them all before they are done. As Mitch would say lock it down!!!
