A Friday Distraction Featuring Derrick Thomas

There are 69 days until the 2014 NFL season begins. You can watch the countdown in real time, if you’d like. I know you all are just as anxious as I am to see how this year’s Chiefs team shapes up.

Maybe it’s too much caffeine, or maybe because it’s Friday, but I just can’t seem to focus on work today. I thought you might be feeling the same way, so I present to you a distraction:

Red Tribe Cinema’s 8:30 minutes of Derrick Thomas tackling, slapping and harassing terrified quarterbacks, AKA Dee Ford’s study material.

I especially like the clip at 4:45 — that little shove of John Elway, who then comically topples over. Bonus giggle: those hideous Gatorade-orange Donkey uniforms.

Addicts, what’s your favorite Derrick Thomas memory?

Isn’t red tribe cinema offensive now?

Brutal hit on Elway about 7:40. Amazing video and if this is who Dee Ford is inspired by I suggest he put this on a loop and fine tune ready to perform.

Six sacks in one game, to this day that is still amazing. And just knowing that every time denver played the Chiefs, elway was shaking in his cleats, well, that was priceless.
