  • Johnson moved down five spots from 59 to 64 on this year’s list, which seems silly because this was maybe Johnson’s best season ever as a pro. PFF graded his season as +15.4, ranking him third amongst all NFL inside linebackers and first among all non-San Francisco inside linebackers. His +12 coverage grade was the best amongst all inside linebackers.

After the Top 100 episode Johnson appeared on the reaction show, where he proclaimed Jamaal Charles as the best running back in the NFL and the Chiefs best player. You can watch his full post-show interview here: Derrick Johnson post-show interview.

One would assume there should be at least four more Chiefs on the list. Charles would be one and Justin Houston should be another. The leading contenders for the presumed final two spots would be Dontari Poe, Tamba Hali, and Eric Berry. We’ll see what happens as the NFL continues and reveals the next 10 players on their list.

P.S. The NFL should really allow one to embed video.
