2014 NFL Draft: Day 3 Live Thread

Day three of the 2014 NFL Draft is here!

Today is a big day for the Kansas City Chiefs. KC has gone defense with their first two selections this year so chances are we will see some offensive players coming off the board for KC in rounds 4-7.

What do you think, Addicts? Will the Chiefs finally take a receiver or will they continue to surprise us?

Join us all day in our live draft thread!

    Thought we might get Ellington

  • Merlin_Arrowhead_Addict

    Welcome Addicts!

  • Patrick Allen

Interested to see what Dorsey does today. This is an important day for him.

  • Matthew Stansbury

Let hope we get offensive help in these later rounds

  • Ben Nielsen

Really hoping for a punter in this round.

    • Patrick Allen

It is a risk. You can’t miss on a punter in the 3rd round.

      • Ben Nielsen

If you don’t have a franchise punter, you don’t have anything.

        • Merlin_Arrowhead_Addict

I think you build up the middle, so I want a franchise long snapper first.

          • Ben Nielsen

            Tremendous point.

    • mnelson52

I would get an undrafted punter

  • Merlin_Arrowhead_Addict

I want OL Charles Leno in round 5 and WR Jeff Janis in round 6.

    • mnelson52

      Who in 4

      • Merlin_Arrowhead_Addict

Wr Coleman is possible in round 4. If either McGill or Desir are still sitting there, I would be sorely tempted to take one of them

  • Merlin_Arrowhead_Addict

Bodine is a nice player. Good choice by Cincy

    • Ben Nielsen

There goes our starting right guard…

  • Merlin_Arrowhead_Addict

There should be a round 3 prospect who falls to us. Hard to pinpoint a position, but OL and WR are the most possible. I do wonder what teams know about McGill and Desir. They fit the prototype are are falling. Lots of other DBs being taken too.

  • NicholasAlanClayton

A lot of good value CB’s and guards still on the board. When I was picking in a 32-real-person mock draft in the 4th, I picked Penn State G John Urschel here in the 4th. He’s still available …

    • Merlin_Arrowhead_Addict

I would be OK with going CB here if the value is there.

      • NicholasAlanClayton

But let’s be serious. This team needs to get that dynamic long snapper to take the franchise to the next level.

        • Ben Nielsen

Also need to consider a future place holder.

          • NicholasAlanClayton

Is it too soon to draft field equipment here? Hard to compete without good pylons and grass paint.

          • Ben Nielsen

            Does Warhorse need new blinders?

  • Merlin_Arrowhead_Addict

I know everyone else wants to know. It’s Albany 5, Loyola 3 late second quarter, DI Lax playoffs opening round.

  • Michael Tavis

Hey guys, I heard there is a live draft conversation happening in here. I’m going with Norwood or Yankey for our 4th round pick.

    • Merlin_Arrowhead_Addict

True Micheal, but I see your avi and you have to be at least 6 years old to participate ;)

      • Michael Tavis

I passed the captcha that should count for something.

        • Merlin_Arrowhead_Addict

Ahhh a prodigy. Well, maybe we can make an exception for a prodigy

  • Michael Tavis

With the LaMichael James trade rumors and the way the 49ers draft all the starts you have to expect they will land DeAnthony Thomas right?

  • Ben Nielsen

Going out on a limb here, but I don’t think the Chiefs will be trading Eric Berry or Brandon Flowers this weekend.

    • Michael Tavis

I think if they were trading Flowers it would of happened yesterday.

    • NicholasAlanClayton

Yeah, I feel like it would have happened by this point. Unless they’re getting a 2015 and 2016 1st-rounder for them.

      • Ben Nielsen

I could see Flowers traded after June 1 if KC adds another CB here.

        • NicholasAlanClayton

I could also see him being an August training camp trade or Week 6 trade deadline deal.

          • Ben Nielsen

I’d be surprised if he were dealt in-season just because trades never seem to happen in-season, but I could see how there will be a lot of speculation around then.

    • Merlin_Arrowhead_Addict

I would be shocked and disappointed to see Berry traded.

      • Ben Nielsen

“Shock and awwwww :(” doesn’t have the same ring to it.

        • Merlin_Arrowhead_Addict

          No, but it is cute

  • Merlin_Arrowhead_Addict

    there goes McGill

    • Michael Tavis

I am having a really hard time adjusting to the Raiders having a really good draft. It hurts to say.

      • Merlin_Arrowhead_Addict

It does hurt. Why couldn’t Al Davis live to be 100?

        • Michael Tavis

I would take immortal. The Raiders would then have Manziel and would have took DeAnthony Thomas in the 2nd.

      • NicholasAlanClayton

And so unusual. We used to always be able to count on them blowing themselves up every April.

  • NicholasAlanClayton

    I dislike Oakland strongly.

    • NicholasAlanClayton

      News flash.

  • Merlin_Arrowhead_Addict

Albany 7, Loyola 3 at halftime. That would be a huge frickin upset.

  • mr357magKC

NOOOOOO!!!….steelers jus stole my receiver Martavis Bryant!

  • Merlin_Arrowhead_Addict

Bryant would have been an interesting Chiefs pick.

  • Patrick Allen

    Picking late sucks.

    • Canad-Ian

I hope we can get used to it

      • Patrick Allen

I don’t think it would suck as much if we had a 2nd round pick. Feels crappy to be picking so late only having drafted two players so far.

  • Michael Tavis

Well I certainly didn’t see that coming for Arizona. Not surprised by the position just the name.

  • Merlin_Arrowhead_Addict

I don’t see the Chiefs going QB, but if they did, I would go with Murray

    • Patrick Allen

Could you see them snagging McCarron? Reid likes smart QBs.

      • Merlin_Arrowhead_Addict

McCarron couldn’t be bothered to play in the senior bowl. I do wonder about his commitment and ability to handle adversity. Murray had to drive Georgia. I like that

      • ladner morse

I think McCarron is a distinct possibility too.

  • Michael Tavis

Looks like we will have our pick of Desir, Yankey, Norwood, and any QB.

    • Canad-Ian

      Desir, Yankey and any QB

  • Merlin_Arrowhead_Addict

DraftTek is projecting Dakota Dozier to the Chiefs. I would be fine with that.

  • Canad-Ian

Gaines or not, I still want Desir

  • Jason Seibel

    I want A.J. McCarron.

  • Jason Seibel

Or Yankey. Could go for a guard.

  • ladner morse

    I like an OL here.

    • Canad-Ian

      Anybody in particular?

  • Jason Seibel

    Chiefs are on the clock.

  • Kcfan

    Lot of quality options

  • Michael Tavis

Damn Norwood gets nabbed right in front of the Chiefs.

  • Merlin_Arrowhead_Addict

Several options for the Chiefs here.

    • Canad-Ian

They can go so many directions here, there’s no predicting haha

    • NicholasAlanClayton

I’d even be okay with a trade down.

  • NicholasAlanClayton

With so many good options, I’m okay with the Chiefs trading down for a ham sandwich. If its a talented ham sandwich.

  • Merlin_Arrowhead_Addict

Coleman, Dozier, Desir. I would be ok with any of them

  • Michael Tavis

    Hell Yes!

  • Canad-Ian

Andy Reid is going to love him some De’Anthony Thomas

  • ladner morse

    Yes!!!!!!! De Anthony Thomas!!!!!!!!!!

    • Canad-Ian

I think I picked him every time I did those mock drafts on that site

      • ladner morse

I WANTED to pick him every time I did a mock.

      • Priest4Prez

I thought we already had or McCluster replacement?

  • ladner morse

    McCluster replacement!

    • Kcfan

      Upgrade!

  • berttheclock

    Otta the freakin’ park

  • ladner morse

    RED MAMBA

  • mnelson52

Good guy but didn’t see that coming

  • berttheclock

The Black Mamba will strike over and over again.

  • Jason Seibel

We´re happy about this one? I´ll be honest, I wasn´t sure who he was.

    • berttheclock

Well, he is sort of a low flying F-18.

      • Jason Seibel

That¨s a Navy bird, Bert. You¨re slipping. I¨m heading back to my Mexico vacation. See you all around!

        • ladner morse

Good to hear from you Jason!

    • ladner morse

That;s because he’s so fast he’s hard to see.

  • Patrick Allen

DEX 2.0. Just like DMC, everyone will claim he is faster than he actually is.

    • ladner morse

      … because of his quickness.

      • Patrick Allen

He might be a good returner in our system but a 4.5 40 is not impressive. Especially since he has such a small frame.

        • mattU

Seriously? He put down a bad “official” 4.5 40 time at the combine…So what? He was “unofficially” clocked at a 4.34 at the combine. The guy is a bonified track star. He ran 20.61s 200m in High School and ran 10.31s 100m in college…that’s nearly as fast as Jamaal Charles. He did run 4.39 at his pro day.

You seriously gonna watch this return and try to say he’s not fast? He received the ball at the 6 yard line and was in the end-zone in exactly 10 seconds.

    • Canad-Ian

Picking up where we left off with DMC. Trying to turn home run potential into home run productivity. I wonder how much Dave Toub beat the drum for him as his returner?

      • Patrick Allen

I am just having Devon Wylie flashbacks. The Chiefs were able to use Demps to great success in the return game last year as well. Do we really need to be picking a returner when we have so many other needs?

        • berttheclock

I see him more as a Sproles option. David Shaw of Stanford was just talking about how difficult it was to plan a defense for him. He is one of those, “not quite a running back, not quite a receiver, but…………….somehow he works”.

          • area

Just watched some of his tape, they did not tout his field of vision well enough, he plays tougher than DMC, his feet don’t quit and when he does turn it upfield it’s seamless. I’m seeing him as an upgrade over DMC.

          • ladner morse

            Agreed.

          • KCMikeG

DMC lost a step after getting hurt in 2010. Thomas is faster and has played more WR. I hope Reid will give him a shot at some carries. I heard Davis may not be ready at the start of the season?

        • ladner morse

So you see Thomas as a returner only?

        • NicholasAlanClayton

I dunno. When you score as many return TD’s as we did last year, and have constantly great field position, I think it’s well worth a 4th-rounder. Plus, how many of our receivers had more TD’s than our returners?

          • Patrick Allen

I just think they can get quick returner that will fit int his scheme without drafting someone. If they think this kid can play the slot too, then I might feel differently about it. But I want Jamaal and Knile touching the ball before this guy.

          • DoubleD

Knile Davis also proved he could be dangerous in the return game.

          • ladner morse

            Davis KR
            Thomas PR

          • DoubleD

Seems to have definite potential in the slot. The only thing I think he really needs is some time in the weight room.

        • berttheclock

Wylie is completely different. He was a returner and a slot receiver with dropsy issues. That is why he is only on the practice squad of the Niners and with the way they are picking legitimate receivers, I don’t if he makes it out of training camp.

  • Merlin_Arrowhead_Addict

OK, I just gave the Chiefs pick an A grade over a DraftTek. Comments anyone?

    • Ben Nielsen

      F. Needed a new trainer for Warpaint.

  • ladner morse

DeAnthony Thomas has run a 4.37 but, he’s quicker than fast with a terrific lateral move.

    • mattU

Not everything revolves around a 40 time (not that he has put up quick numbers on that too)…His person best 100m is 10.31s: that is FAST. For some perspective, Brandon Cooks’ personal best 100m is 10.72s.

      • ladner morse

        Just watch his tape.

  • NicholasAlanClayton

Just thought about how long I have to wait for the next Chiefs pick …. man.

  • Merlin_Arrowhead_Addict

There goes all the CB’s I liked. Aikens, Desir

    • mnelson52

I thought we might go Desire in the 4th but not complaining about any pick so far.

  • NicholasAlanClayton

From an Icabod to a Brown. A Life of Triumph

  • Canad-Ian

I’m getting dragged away from the TV by my girlfriend… don’t… make… me… gooooooooo

  • NicholasAlanClayton

I admit that since I don’t really watch college ball I had no idea who this guy was. Just watched one highlights reel and already love the guy. Honestly, he looks significantly better than McCluster based on that very basic and unscientific measure.

  • Merlin_Arrowhead_Addict

Every pick the Chiefs have made in this draft has had elite speed for their position. It shows you where Dorsey and Reid are going.

    • DoubleD

      Yep.

    • KCMikeG

Good point. The game just keeps getting faster and faster.

  • berttheclock

Funny thing about this pick is someone at Bleacher Reports put up a thread a few moments before the Chiefs selected him stating he could be picked by the Saints, Redskins or the Eagles. He had him becoming the Sproles replacement with the Saints.

  • Michael Tavis

I really like Vereen for the Chiefs. Bummer.

  • Merlin_Arrowhead_Addict

Urban is a nice prospect. Ravens really love to draft Defense

  • micah stephenson

A rb? Wtf? Huuuum, ok. Sigh

    • NicholasAlanClayton

      Not a QB.

  • NicholasAlanClayton

Me wants S Craig Loston next.

  • Merlin_Arrowhead_Addict

I am watching the highlight video of thomas drafttek posted. kid has some nice vision, speed and agility

  • berttheclock

DAT as in “Can’t catch DAT” ran the 100 meters at Eugene on March 16, 2013 in 10.31 seconds.

Sports Illustrated called him “a touchdown waiting to happen”.

He is a solid football player who happened to run track very fast. He came out of the very tough Crenshaw HS program in LA.

    • Ben Nielsen

Hope that doesn’t refer to his hands…

  • Ben Nielsen

If you need me, I’ll be watching De’Anthony Thomas highlight videos for the rest of the summer.

    • berttheclock

Sorry about Bob Baffert being too busy to take on the training of War Paint.

  • DoubleD

I can think of other possible options in 3rd and 4th rounds but it’s pretty hard to argue against either one. Thomas definitely on my radar in 4th round. Won’t revisit decision made in 1st round.

    • Merlin_Arrowhead_Addict

It’s a DD sighting! Anyone can show up for rounds one and two. It takes a real fan to skip those and show up for round 5!

      • ladner morse

        lol

      • DoubleD

        AA Calvary. No wha’m sain’?

        • Merlin_Arrowhead_Addict

I think you are horsing around!

  • NicholasAlanClayton

Your sober fools are probably getting bored. This thing started at 7 p.m. my time … don’t want to tell you how many beers have died to bring you these comments so far.

    • Ben Nielsen

      All the beers?

      • NicholasAlanClayton

        Nearly correct!

  • Michael Tavis

So what are the chances Yankey falls to the Chiefs? I would be excited if that happens.

  • Patrick Allen

The more I think about it the less I like the pick. The Chiefs need help on the line and out wide. Instead they drafted a kick returner, 3rd RB, maybe a slot project?

Sorry but the return game worked last year with pretty much anybody the Chiefs put back there. Demps, MCCluster and Davis all returned well.

This wash;t the best use of that pick.

    • NicholasAlanClayton

There hasn’t been an interior lineman drafted since the pick. I think they can still get value in the 5th there.

      • Merlin_Arrowhead_Addict

        Dozier went

        • NicholasAlanClayton

          He doesn’t count. Because.

      • NicholasAlanClayton

Okay …. wrote that right before the Kadeem Edwards pick. Still, my guy John Urschel is there.

  • Merlin_Arrowhead_Addict

mmm clouds gathering and my satellite signal is getting dicey

    • mnelson52

Happened to me last night. It sucks

  • Patrick Allen

It cracks me up that people always love any skill position picks but when the Chiefs take a lineman people don’t like it because it is a “boring pick.”

    • Ben Nielsen

Amen. “This pick is underwhelming. F.”

    • Michael Tavis

I have been campaigning for Yankey since he fell into the fourth round.

  • Ben Nielsen

    Yankey. Gone.

    • Michael Tavis

Damn. First Norwood now Yankey. I am really striking out with my campaigning here.

  • NicholasAlanClayton

I think the Chiefs may be missing some serious opportunities here by focusing exclusively on football players. There are still some great baseball and tennis prospects out there that haven’t been considered by the national commentators.

  • Merlin_Arrowhead_Addict

    Street gone, I liked him

    • Ben Nielsen

      Agreed. Bummer.

  • Merlin_Arrowhead_Addict

I still like Charles Leno in round 5

  • Michael Tavis

People talked up the WR depth in this draft but a ton of CB are being drafted as well.

    • Ben Nielsen

Dorsey said pre-draft he loved the depth at CB in this draft.

    • Merlin_Arrowhead_Addict

CB was pretty deep as well.

  • Michael Tavis

The last player I am going to campaign for is Lamin Barrow.

    • Canad-Ian

      Worst case scenario?

      • Michael Tavis

uhhhh yea. I am currently having a meltdown.

  • mnelson52

    Coleman or Herron

  • mnelson52

What picks do we have in 6th

    • Ben Nielsen

      193 and 200 overall

      • Ben Nielsen

Think that 17 and 24 in the round

        • mnelson52

          Thanks

          • Ben Nielsen

            np

  • Merlin_Arrowhead_Addict

DraftTek projecting Jared Abbrederis to the Chiefs

    • Ben Nielsen

      I’d be good with that.

      • Merlin_Arrowhead_Addict

I am surprised he is still on the board

        • Ben Nielsen

Concussion issues may be scaring people off.

  • Michael Tavis

See what happens when I try to have fun? I campaign for Lamin Barrow and the dang Broncos take him. Its been a rough day for me.

    • NicholasAlanClayton

Say no specific names in this forum. Ever again. EVER.

  • ladner morse

    Dang… I wanted Lamin Barrow.

  • Merlin_Arrowhead_Addict

Ok, here we go. I am, looking at Coleman, Leno and Abbrederis

  • NicholasAlanClayton

Urschel man, Urschel all the way. Actually say that name 30 times fast.

  • BWrangler

Gotta pick OL here. Antonio Richardson Tennessee

    • BWrangler

Aaron Murray….not a fan of this pick.

  • ladner morse

    Oh God!

  • NicholasAlanClayton

Ugggghhhhhhh. First pick I am strongly not a fan of.

  • Merlin_Arrowhead_Addict

Wow, I did say much earlier that if the Chiefs went QB, I would take Murray

  • ladner morse

    A 3rd string replacement.

  • mr357magKC

    C’mon MAN!!!

  • mnelson52

Can he catch out of the backfield?

  • Patrick Allen

I will never be unhappy with the Chiefs drafting a QB.

    • NicholasAlanClayton

I understand the general sentiment, but with pretty solid guys at the 2nd and 3rd spot on the roster, this is far more questionable than going after a tiny receiver best used as a KR last round. Tom Brady is pretty much the one and only legendary QB picked at in the mid rounds. To me, QB picks around here are either future backups, which we don’t need, or lottery tickets, which … are lottery tickets …

  • Ben Nielsen

I love the Murray pick. Love it. /ducks

  • mnelson52

I thought if they went QB, they would have taken the one with 2 championships. AJ

  • mnelson52

    Where are you Micah

  • Canad-Ian

I couldn’t decide which AM I liked better, Chiefs decided for me. Them going back to back I’m sure there will be a ton of comparisons over the years, especially if AJ ends up being better.

  • mnelson52

So are they not happy with Bray? Or do they think Bray can take over for Daniel?

    • Ben Nielsen

Think Daniel is more likely to be the odd man out.

    • Merlin_Arrowhead_Addict

Daniel has a big contract for a backup QB

  • ladner morse

When the Chiefs talk about their “board” they have to be including the ranking of their own players. Thus, Murray > Bray.

  • Merlin_Arrowhead_Addict

I gave the Murray pick a B+ grade on DraftTek. Comments?

    • NicholasAlanClayton

Tom Brady is pretty much the one and only legendary QB picked at in the mid rounds. To me, QB picks around here are either future backups, which we don’t need, or lottery tickets, which … are lottery tickets …

      • Merlin_Arrowhead_Addict

        Bart Starr, Round 17
        Bob Waterfield, Round 5
        Johnny Unitas, Round 9
        Roger Staubach, Round 10
        George Blanda Round 12

All those QB’s are in the Hall of Fame

        • NicholasAlanClayton

Fine. Any in the last 30 years?

  • NicholasAlanClayton

This is truly amazing. NFL Network will not talk about the Chiefs even with a gun to their head. Murray and McCarron get picked back to back … they talk solely about McCarron for 10 minutes.

    • KCMikeG

Last night was a F’ing joke. Chiefs on the clock and Eisen is shocked that they have “caught up” and has nothing to say. Bellick stammers out how there are holes to be filled while staring down at his notes the whole time but can’t articulate any thoughts, Davis says absolutely nothing and Mayocks comments on WR because that’s all anyone seems to be able to say. Seriously weak shit!

  • Ben Nielsen

    Just posted this on Twitter:
Daniel 2015 Cap Hit: $4.8 million
    Bray 2015 Cap Hit: $589k

Gotta think Daniel is the odd man out. Lot you can do with that extra $4 million in cap space.

  • Canad-Ian

John Gruden just loves Murray. His QB camp video is nothing but praise

    • Ben Nielsen

      In fairness, Gruden loves everybody.

      • Merlin_Arrowhead_Addict

I always ask myself ‘what QB did Gruden ever develop?’

        • NicholasAlanClayton

          Warren Sapp

        • Canad-Ian

He developed Brad Johnson from age 34-36 or something

  • Ben Nielsen

Antonio Richardson is still on the board? How is that possible?

    • Merlin_Arrowhead_Addict

He needs a lot of refinement. His technique is poor. His athletic ability is high though.

    • Canad-Ian

Is that idiot tackle Seantrel still there?

      • Ben Nielsen

        Yup.

  • Merlin_Arrowhead_Addict

Charles Leno and Jeff Janis are still on the board. Keeping my fingers crossed

  • NicholasAlanClayton

HOW HIGH DOES HARBAUGH LOOK RIGHT NOW?!

    • Merlin_Arrowhead_Addict

I got the impression he really didn’t want to do that interview.

      • NicholasAlanClayton

I doubt anyone wants to give interviews in the middle of Day 3 of the draft. Probably all of these guys are working like the dudes for Wolf of Wall Street for the third straight day now.

    • Ben Nielsen

Who is higher than Harbaugh? NOOOOOOBODY!!!!!

  • Kcfan

    Abbrederris

    • Merlin_Arrowhead_Addict

      He is gone

  • mnelson52

To be honest, I don’t know much about a lot of the players left

  • mnelson52

I think our 1st 3 picks could be game changers

  • Merlin_Arrowhead_Addict

OK, here we go again. Ben is crying, the punter was drafted

    • Ben Nielsen

      *weeping in corner*

  • NicholasAlanClayton

Well, I was up to 6 a.m. this morning with rounds 2-3, now I think I’ll pass out before the Chiefs pick in the 7th.

    • Merlin_Arrowhead_Addict

You have my permission to leave at the end of round 6

      • NicholasAlanClayton

Can’t just yet. Still beer left in the fridge. Can’t give up on the beer. It won’t give up on you.

        • Merlin_Arrowhead_Addict

Taking one for the team. I love it!

I guess coach Reid isn’t as worried as we are about WR…..

  • mnelson52

Can they call UFA as soon as draft ends?

  • Merlin_Arrowhead_Addict

    Janis, Janis!

    • ladner morse

      Praying now.

  • Merlin_Arrowhead_Addict

Oh wow, I mocked Duvernay-Tardif to the chiefs in one of the DraftTek mocks

    • berttheclock

The Chiefs met with him in Kansas City early on, but, in various articles about his visits to several teams, he never listed the Chiefs as being interested in him. He talked about the Niners, Packers and two other teams.

  • Canad-Ian

    Canadian!!!!

    • berttheclock

This will actually be the 2nd Canadian the Chiefs have had on the roster and they both are, either, doctors,or very close to becoming MDs. The first one was a long snapper, who had played for the Seahawks. Both are from McGill

      • Merlin_Arrowhead_Addict

I just finished my comment and grade for him on DraftTek. He has a 4.0 GPA and McGill is an outstanding academic university

  • mr357magKC

Well there it is NO WR’s taken!

    • Canad-Ian

Shows how much people know about the draft

  • mr357magKC

Enjoy your the rest of you afternoon guys…GO CHIEFS!!!

  • berttheclock

Finally, a player I kept touting.

  • mnelson52

I won’t pass judgment on this draft till I see how well they are competing in November..

  • ladner morse
    • mnelson52

Thanks. I knew nothing about him. Good wright up on him. I had no idea he was expected to be drafted #1 over all in the CFL.

      • Canad-Ian

CFL draft is next week, will there be a live thread?

    • berttheclock

Yes, that is the article I read earlier where he spoke about the four teams who had shown interest in him. He had visited with the Chiefs earlier, so, when he didn’t mention the Chiefs I was very concerned because I feel he will become an impact player with the Chiefs and, then, finish his medical degree at KU. Just before his name was called, I was sitting up yelling his name. Only name I called for which was called today, but, hey, I give Dorsey an A for addressing major needs. He helped the defense immensely, he has brought new talent to the O-line and he followed a GB tradition of bringing a QB to develop, as well. Plus, he has added a real speed threat in DAT. Great 3 days.

  • Merlin_Arrowhead_Addict

OK, what draftees do you all see having an immediate impact for the Chiefs? Any immediate starters?

    • berttheclock

DAT has an excellent chance of rising to the top at St Joe.

    • Canad-Ian

I think D. Ford (Still trying to figure out what the D stands for) is going to have a nice impact on passing downs with Houston, Hali, Poe, Walker

      • berttheclock

I believe Dee will have a great chance to play early and often.

  • Canad-Ian

Hey did you see that video montage of impact 7th rounders? Where was Cassel??

    • Merlin_Arrowhead_Addict

I turned off the draft and am watching the D1 Lax 1st round tourney

Patrick, Thomas was the 31 rated RBC on Draftec’s positional rankings. Kudos to Merlin because after doing a little research I found that Draftec’s positional charts explained Dorsey’s thinking. Dee ford was listed as the #4 OLB in 34, Phil Gaines was listed #13 on the CB list, Thomas was #1 on the RBC list, Murray was listed 9th on the QB list, Fulton was listed at 22 on the OG list and Duvernay-Tarsif was listed at 17 on the LOT list. I am not going to say this is my kinda list, and I see several scenarios where it could come unraveled, but I can’t say it was bad, just not what I would do. I also think that it will not give us a leg up in the division. The Raiders had a really good draft especially on the 1st day. And the Chargers helped themselves. Denver helped their depth, but they were already head and shoulders ahead in the division.
