Kansas City Chiefs 2014 Schedule Is Set

The Kansas Chiefs 2014 schedule was temporarily leaked out by the Chiefs on their website before immediately being deleted. But with this being the internet the schedule is now everywhere.

So behold, your 2014 Kansas City Chiefs schedule:

Week 1: Tennessee Titans, noon
Week 2: at Denver Broncos, 3:25 p.m.
Week 3: at Miami Dolphins, 3:35 p.m.
Week 4: New England Patriots — MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL
Week 5: at San Francisco 49ers, 3:25 p.m.
Week 6: Bye
Week 7: at San Diego Chargers 3:05
Week 8: St. Louis Rams, noon
Week 9: New York Jets, noon
Week 10: at Buffalo Bills, noon
Week 11: Seattle Seahawks, noon
Week 12: at Oakland Raiders — THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL
Week 13: Denver Broncos — SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL
Week 14: at Arizona Cardinals, 3:05 p.m.
Week 15: Oakland Raiders, noon
Week 16: at Pittsburgh Steelers, noon
Week 17: San Diego Chargers, noon

First, THREE primetime games have been scheduled for the Chiefs, although the Sunday night game is in the “flex” zone so it is possible that game could get moved.

Second, September should be fun with having a home game on opening week, a huge road game at Denver in week two, Branden Albert reunion game in week three, and a Monday night game against New England to finish the month.

This is a brutal schedule, but it should also be a fun one. Which game do you think will be the best?

    Opening day baby!!!

  • Patrick Allen

Chiefs need to learn to beat the Broncos. They can make a major statement early. Beat the Titans at home then go in to Mile High and shock the Broncos. If they can do that, they’ll set a great tone for their season.

    • Michael Shaw

I was watching my recording of NFL AM and I think the Bronco’s have an outside shot at going anywhere from 0-3, 1-2 or 2-1 in their first three games. The Colts handled them last year in the regular season, then we go to Mile High and while they beat us twice last year, I think if our Defense is improved we might be able to beat them in their own home, though in my previous post gave them the win and then they play Seattle again and I don’t see Denver winning that one at all. We might be their only win going into week 4.

  • Kevin Smith

What’s up with the afternoon game against Miami?? That’s a little odd on the east coast…

    • berttheclock

Yes, considering that on October 8, the Dolphins travel to the “Northern” climes of Jacksonville to play a 1 PM EST game, yet, play the Chiefs at 4.25 EST.

      • Kevin Smith

        Sub-prime time..

  • A1 Yola

@San Franciso and Arizona should be interesting.

    • Michael Shaw

I think we can win both, but I realistically think we beat Arizona and lose to SF.

  • Roger Mihalko

first 5 games are tough.. a bye then it evens out a bit. Over all though this is what i see:

should/potential wins..Titans, dolphins, chargers, rams, jets, bills, raiders, cardinals, raiders, steelers, raiders….that 11 wins.

    potential losses…..broncos, patriots, 49ers, seahawks, broncos……..

11-5 again looks very realistic to me

    • Travis Forsyth

you counted oakland 3 times…so make that 10 wins.

      • Travis Forsyth

unless you meant to put chargers. in that case, 11 wins

        • Roger Mihalko

          yea chargers sorry

  • Stacy D. Smith

    1. 3 of the first 5 on the road.
    2. 3 of the first 5 against ’13 playoff teams.
    3. 3 primetime games (TNF/SNF/MNF).
    4. 3 of the last 5 at home.
    5. 4 of the last 6 vs. AFC-W.
    6. SEA then OAK 4 days later in primetime.

    • Calchiefsfan

Best to play a crummy team like Oakland on a short week and then 10 days to prepare for Denver at home. I like it.

  • micah stephenson

    Geno Smith @ arrowhead!!! :-):-):-):-)

    • Daniel Mayfield

I see Vick playing instead of Geno.

      • micah stephenson

        Lol.

        • Michael Shaw

What I mean by that Micah is that Geno will be better if he learns to play the game the way Russel Wilson does for Seattle. Meaning be a drop back QB and use his running skill as a way to make time for WR’s to get open and then as very last resort, run the football. Vick has slowly learned that lesson and would be a good mentor to Geno in my estimation.

          • micah stephenson

You try passing with Holmes and Curly as yo wrs. Lol

          • Michael Shaw

LOL! True. But I still think the kid should have sat all of last year. Don’t think he is the same caliber as RGIII or Luck.

      • Michael Shaw

Personally I think that would be better for the kid. He could learn what not to do from Vick.

    • Calchiefsfan

      And four interceptions!

  • micah stephenson

Yup I got the Chiefs at 8-8.

  • micah stephenson

I wish San fran was at Arrowhead but I’m might pay extra for front row seats to Seattle.

  • Lyle Graversen

My first gut reaction prediction: We start 2-4 and everyone thinks the sky is falling but then finish 8-2 the rest of the way for a 10-6 record and another wild card birth. I have them getting swept by Denver and then loses to San Fran, New England, at SD, and Seattle.

    • Michael Shaw

Lyle, that was my first thought as well. I think 10-6 or 9-7 depending on how the divisional games go!

  • sidibeke

I see 9-7 or 10-6. I think there’s a good chance we can be 3-2 at the bye.

  • KCMikeG

Week 1: Tennessee Titans – HOME OPENING WIN WITH SOME CROW AS DMC HURTS US
Week 2: at Denver Broncos – CLOSE OT LOSS
Week 3: at Miami Dolphins – WIN WHILE ALBERT GETS SCHOOLED
Week 4: NE Patriots — MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL – SPECIAL TEAMS SAVES THE DAY! WIN
Week 5: at SF 49ers – WIN – AS11 POURS GAS ON WHY DID WE KEEP KAP MOVEMENT
Week 6: Bye – IF BY CHANCE WE LOSE NE OR SF GAME OR BOTH HATERS & PUNDITS ALIKE WILL HAVE GRAVE DUG & FORK IN SEASON.
Week 7: at San Diego Chargers – WIN – HUGE AS11 DAY
Week 8: St. Louis Rams – WIN – DEFENSE DOMINATES
Week 9: NY Jets – WIN – AS11 HAS HUGE DAY – GENO IS HUMILIATED – MICAH IS SILENT
Week 10: at Buffalo Bills – WIN – BILLS MOVE TO CANADA
Week 11: Seattle Seahawks – FLIP A COIN IN OUR HOUSE BUT WILL GIVE EDGE TO SB CHAMPS – LOSS
Week 12: at Oakland Raiders — THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL – YOU THOUGHT 56-31 WAS EMBARRASSING? JUST WAIT – WIN
Week 13: Denver Broncos — SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL – WIN – WE NEARLY DID IT LAST YEAR & WE WILL BE JUST THAT MUCH BETTER THIS YEAR ESPECIALLY IN THE SEA OF RED
Week 14: at Arizona Cardinals – WIN BUT HIGH UPSET POTENTIAL COMING OFF EMOTIONAL DONKEY GAME
    Week 15: Oakland Raiders – WIN – COULD VERY WELL BE 100-0. 13 TD’S & 3 FG’S
Week 16: at Pittsburgh Steelers – LOSS LET DOWN ON THE ROAD AFTER SCORING 100.
Week 17: San Diego Chargers – LOSS – RESTING STARTERS FOR PLAYOFFS

THAT’S 12-4 WINNING THE AFCW WHILE AN AGING MANNING FADES INTO THE SUNSET. EVEN IF WE LOSE THE NE & SF GAMES THAT’S STILL 10-6 AND PLAYOFF BOUND.

    • Daniel Mayfield

That would be nice. Just need a better pass rusher, or 1 to improve big time.
2nd high rated WR, or 1 to improve….tv
      shows talk about Jenkins
      improving to #2 Bowe is
      better and they have 2
      high rated WRs. Gotta
      see to believe.
Everybody talks about drafting a great DB….I’m all for it. Demps helped and he’s gone.
Reid/Dorsey say they have a good OL, or trust in them…whatever the words were. But if there’s a high qualified in the 3rd or 4rd, which I don’t think there will be, why not?
They have plenty of players on the squad, if they can improve…and I know some of you will think I’m crazy, they will have depth and maybe a few that can join, like the pass rusher they talked about..I don’t remember his name, just remember it started with a Ca. lol, like that’s gonna help much. lol

    • micah stephenson

I always give a micah reference a like. Week nine is a win win for me. If Geno plays bad, I won’t b silent.

    • Michael Shaw

KCMIKEG, who will be the QB for Tennessee? I don’t think DMC hurts us at all on this game. I think that one is a win.

      • KCMikeG

So MAYBE 100 points was a bit of an exaggeration. Maybe.

      • KCMikeG

Locker probably so not as a WR. DMC will hurt us in the return game mark my words.

    • micah stephenson

I was kinda of wondering if you are a betting man. I’ll take NE, SF, and Denver.

    • micah stephenson

You do know the radiers signed Shuab, MJD, James Jones on offense and J.Tuck, Lamar Woodley, Carlos Rogers, T.Brown, and might b drafting a Clowning, Mack, or Watkins. The raiders will still b last n the afc west but they will b better.

      • KCMikeG

Clowney will be gone before they pick or if he’s not he will bust in that environment. It would be dubbed “Clowning”. Watkins wouldn’t matter because Schaub is done. MJD has been done for a while. Jones was never more than a good #3 or #4 WR. Throwing a bunch of has beens into that dysfunctional cluster won’t solve anything. It will just be another stroke of incompetence in the faiders race to out do the Skins in spending too much money on bad decisions.

  • Daniel Mayfield

Reid says nobody, NOBODY, can beat Denver. I’d like to see the team prove him wrong. If they can that early in the season, they will show they have “balls” to take it all the way.
I see the lowest, before bye week, 4-2 and the best is 5-1

    • Bryan Staley

Reid said that on April Fools Day! He knows damn well we will beat the heck out of them at Arrowhead this year!!

      • Daniel Mayfield

        That I didn’t know

  • Pessimisticchiefsfan

Wow. Patriots, SF, and Seattle. This year is gonna be bruttle. Maybe everyone’s starting qbs will get hurt at the start of the year so we can trick ourselves into thinking we are good again like last year.

  • Michael Shaw

    Week 1: Tennessee Titans, noon———————————————–WIN

    Week 2: at Denver Broncos, 3:25 p.m.—————————————-LOSS

    Week 3: at Miami Dolphins, 3:35 p.m.—————————————–WIN

Week 4: New England Patriots — MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL——LOSS, but GOD it would be great to beat these fuckers in our house on Monday Night!!!!!!!!!!

    Week 5: at San Francisco 49ers, 3:25 p.m.———————————–WIN

    Week 6: Bye———————————————-NOT A LOSS OR A WIN :)

Week 7: at San Diego Chargers 3:05——————————————LOSS

Week 8: St. Louis Rams, noon—————————————————WIN

Week 9: New York Jets, noon—————————————————-WIN

Week 10: at Buffalo Bills, noon—————————————————WIN

    Week 11: Seattle Seahawks, noon———————————————-LOSS

Week 12: at Oakland Raiders — THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL—–WIN

Week 13: Denver Broncos — SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL————-WIN

    Week 14: at Arizona Cardinals, 3:05 p.m.————————————-WIN

    Week 15: Oakland Raiders, noon————————————————WIN

Week 16: at Pittsburgh Steelers, noon——————————————LOSS

Week 17: San Diego Chargers, noon——————————————–WIN

I think we could match our 11-5 record from last year, but at the same time, there are a couple of games that could go the opposite way than I thought and make us either 10-6 or 9-7. I don’t see us going below that unless we have a rash of injuries like we did in the playoff game!
