The Morning Fix: 65 Toss Power Trap, Alex Smith, GIFs

Many people need their coffee to get up and going in the morning.  Here at Arrowhead Addict, we understand that for a Chiefs fan, coffee is simply not enough.

Here’s all that’s happening around Chiefs Kingdom today.

Welcome to The Morning Fix.

Good morning, Addicts.

Adam Teicher lets us know how the Chiefs can find an elite receiver.

So how do the Chiefs go about finding an elite receiver of their own? Let’s use Williamson’s list as a guide. First, they’ll probably have to draft and develop him. None of the 14 true No. 1 receivers he lists has played for an NFL team other than the one he’s on now.

65 Toss Power Trap Productions received an honor at the New York Festivals International TV & Film Awards.

The Chiefs received one Silver and one Bronze World Medal at the annual gala in Las Vegas on Tuesday evening. They were in good company, as other finalists included CNN, HBO, CBS Sports, other NFL teams, ESPN and more.

Herm Edwards will be speaking at Truman State on Saturday.

Herman Edwards is scheduled to speak Saturday at 8 p.m. in Baldwin Hall Auditorium to talk about the need to create a life plan, the importance of service and giving back to your community.

Arrowhead Pride compares Alex Smith to the rest of the NFL starting quarterbacks one-by-one.

Like any smart manager, I’m starting Alex off with an easy win, but one that represents just LITTLE danger. Basically, Geno Smith represents everything Alex Smith doesn’t. He throws a solid deep ball and is willing to take chances, but throws almost twice as many picks as TDs. Geno may have a lot of potential, but Alex is the clear winner here.

Two non-football GIFs:

- Billy Hamilton scored on this. …Can he play wide receiver?

One interesting note came from a thread at sfgate about the Niners having a rep speak with Beckham at his Pro Day. It was a comparison between Beckham and A J Jenkins. However, the comparison had to do with each of them had poor lifting showings at their respective combines. In fact, that lack of strength was mentioned by Baalke after Jenkins signed with the Niners and Baalke felt the problem had held him back from being able to separate when he first came to the Niners and was a factor in trading him to the Chiefs. I trust the Chiefs have worked on his weight training.

One other thing about Beckham is more and more teams are showing an interest in him. Pittsburgh took him out to dinner near LSU. The Bills have invited him for a visit. As mentioned above, the Niners had a rep talk with him at his Pro Day. Beckham went on to say several other NFL teams have spoken with him, as well. This does not mean all of those teams will take him with their respective first picks as each team has other needs, as well.

Finally, a NBA ref who really knows how to use his head.
