Jan 31, 2014; New York, NY, USA; Actress Jennifer Garner center and Actors Kevin Costner and Denis Leary during a news conference about the movie

With so much coverage of the draft and who should fit where in the 2014 Kansas City Chiefs, I thought it would be a good idea to switch things up a bit this week.

Well I am sure you have all seen, or at least heard about the new Kevin Costner movie come out this Friday called Draft Day. If not here is the plot of the movie:

At the NFL Draft, general manager Sonny Weaver has the opportunity to rebuild his team when he trades for the number one pick. He must decide what he’s willing to sacrifice on a life-changing day for a few hundred young men with NFL dreams.

So with the release of this new movie focused on the draft process, I figured it would be a great time to put out another top ten list. So in honor of this new movie here are my Top Ten Football Movies of all-time.

Now before we get into the meat here and start listing off great football movies I took the time to ask The Collective (inside joke from college) about some of their top football movies. So I took into consideration their input when coming up with this list so you might actually call it the Top Ten Football movies brought to you by The Collective, but I digress.

Onto to the list!

What about the blind side? That has to be In the too 10 IMO.

  • ChiefPhil34

Agree with Chuck. The Blind side should have made it. but also

Invincible is a great movie/story. and then there is always the classic

The Garbage Picking Field Goal Kicking Philadelphia Phenomenon (cause who doesn’t love anything with Tony Danza in it)

  • T.Hagen

Invincible was really good. Marky mark.

  • Stacy D. Smith

Great list. I’ve seen just about everything on this list.
I think I might’ve had “Wildcats” on my Top 10 though. I love that movie.

      The Program is GREAT

  • Mark

Hard to argue with this list, but Necessary Roughness should be in the discussion

    • unclejesse40

      Welcome to Foot Ball!

    • Stacy D. Smith

That movie crossed my mind as well.

  • Ben Nielsen

Little Giants. Number 1. No question.

    • Stacy D. Smith

LOVE that movie. That’s probably right behind “The Replacements” for me.

  • Bosco Cletus

Agree Titans is awesome no doubt, but it was kind of ruined when I found out how inaccurate it was and that Hollywood used the Gary Bertier wreck to drum up the drama. He didn’t get into the car accident that left him paralyzed until after the season was over.

  • Roger Mihalko

the adam sandlers longest yard doesn’t belong on this list. I would replace it with Radio.

  • The Offender

Where is the program and all the right moves?

  • Blaize Richardson

There’s like 5 better movies than Adam Sandler’s “longest yard”. The “longest Yard” isn’t even the best football movie Adam Sandler played in… “waterboy” anyone? “Invincible” or “Varsity Blues” would’ve also been better choices than that movie.

  • Stacy D. Smith

    “The Best of Times” anyone?
