It isn’t official, but Adam Schefter is reporting the Washington Redskins will complete a deal tonight with DeSean Jackson.

There was some outside hope Jackson would leave Washington without a deal, forcing is price down to a more reasonable range and putting the Chiefs back into the game. According to Schefter, this is not going to happen.

Kansas City now enters the draft in May with a few question marks at wide receiver. The position group needs to be upgraded even though many think Dexter McCluster‘s replacement will come in the form of A.J. Jenkins and Weston Dressler. Whatever the Chiefs can do to upgrade their receiving weapons in the draft will be helpful.

This does mean the Chiefs will have some cap room to work with to compete to sign Danieal Manning, who is scheduled to visit the Chiefs this week.
