How do we know it was Reid that didn’t want Jackson and not the other way around when Jackson found out that the Chiefs would have wanted to severely underpay him? They probably gave him a number and he laughed in their faces, knowing he could fetch a true market value somewhere else.

  • Patrick Allen

If the Chiefs reached out to him the character obviously wasn’t a concern. If they’re out there is only one reason: money.

    • Stan Colbert

I guess every player isn’t necessarily interested in the Super Bowl!

    • John Walsh

If the Chiefs reached out to him? Right there you have a problem. All of this is media driven. I don’t think the Chiefs did anything in the area of trying to sign him.

They have bigger needs than paying for a over priced receiver. This draft is full of guys that are younger with bigger frames and either just as fast or close. What they really need to do is get the cap numbers for guys like flowers, berry, Sean smith, and even bowe back down here to earth so they can keep Alex build the team around those core guys.

Chiefs don’t need some primadonna WR w/ baggage. Let them draft a wr of their own and he can become a primadonna and build up his baggage here.

I’m guessing the Chiefs reached out to let him know they were interested, then they did a little research and didn’t like what they saw. If your QB is Foles and you don’t want to keep the best deep threat you have, there’s a good reason. Glad we passed, hope he signs for a buttload of money with Oakland and get’s suspended.

All of last season we heard how the atmosphere in the Chiefs locker room was like a family and it worked great. I wonder how Jackson would fit. Maybe the reason the Chiefs decided against him has to do with his me first attitude.

Maybe he didn’t want to play with Alex Smith. It doesn’t make sense for an elite deep threat to play with a game manager who can’t consistently go deep.
