Sports betting site Bovada has updated their Super Bowl odds for next season and the Chiefs are really close to cracking to the top 10.

Bovada set’s Kansas City’s odds at 33/1, which is tied with eight other teams for the 11th best odds. Seattle has the best odds at 6/1, followed by Denver (7/1), San Francisco (15/2), New England (9/1), and Green Bay (10/1). Kansas City will play four of those five teams in 2014, with Green Bay being the odd team out.

As far as the AFC West goes, Kansas City’s odds are the same as San Diego’s with both teams obviously chasing Denver. Oakland has the second worst odds in the NFL at 100/1, ahead of only Jacksonville (150/1).

Keep in mind the Chiefs were 50-1 odds last year while the Falcons (12-1) and Texans (18-1) were supposed to be right in the Super Bowl mix, so these odds are not gospel by any means. Though it is interesting to note how much the Chiefs have improved in terms of perception in just one short year. Maybe a solid draft will land them in the top 10.

For those of you wondering, the Broncos, 6-1 odds, and Seahawks, 17-2 odds, were each in the top three for best odds to win the Super Bowl before last season started.
