Green Bay Reporter Reports Kansas City Chiefs Signed Vance Walker [UPDATED]

Have the Chiefs signed Vance Walker? Pete Dougherty of the Green Bay Post-Gazette says so.

The hold up here is neither Terez Paylor of the Kansas City Star, Adam Teicher, or the Chiefs have confirmed the signing (yet).

Also, there is this:

This would seem to suggest the Chiefs have not signed Walker or all of the other reporters are just really slow on the uptake. We’ll have an update for you should one come.

UPDATE

From the agency that represents Walker:

And his agent:

Should note this agency represents current Chiefs players Eric Berry, Joe McKnight, and Rokevious Watkins.

I suppose this means Dorsey will not try to have Alex Carrington come for a visit. Carrington, who had a sack against the Chiefs before tearing his quad is visiting the Steelers, today, as he better fits a 3-4 scheme than the 4-3 of the Bills.

I’ve now seen several reports that he’s been signed. There were also reports that he was staying an extra day in Kansas City. Seems to me that there’s a lot of smoke to this fire. I bet we’ll get more confirmation here shortly.

Does Oklahoma Joe’s run two day specials?

We have to start providing other options. Not everybody likes barbecue. I also suggested Stroud’s to Sanders on Twitter.

          There used to be a great home fried chicken place in KCK. Real home style cooking with a country home table filled with platters of fried chicken, and bowls of mashed potatoes, green beans and gravy. Great buns, also. It was the place you took your mom on special occasions. Pure down home delight. A friend of mine has told me there is an equivalent in Johnson County (Lenexa, perhaps?}

If he’s suppose to replace Jackson, I’ve already seen more movement out of him in the posted picture above, than I ever saw out of Jackson.

    • berttheclock

er, “foundations” are not supposed to move, are they? Remember, he was supposed to be the Chiefs version of Russell Maryland of the Cowboys. Funny thing about that is Maryland moved on to the Raiders and moved towards the middle of their line.

Maybe he should have signed w/ one of the California teams where they have earthquakes.

        • Michael Shaw

We don’t have nearly as many earthquakes as the midwest has tornadoes, that is for darn sure!! LOL!!

        • berttheclock

Funny thing about that is the largest earthquake on record for the Continental US was in Missouri, the New Madrid quake south of St Louis. However, having been through two, one called the Sylmar Quake in LA and the other just south of Seattle, I still would rather take my chances with them over those capricious giant wind storms of the Midwest. i was in KCK the year one twister was headed for downtown KCMO, but, suddenly swerved to take out neighborhoods just south of the city limits of KCMO. Plus, my mom took me via Santa Fe to Galveston, one year. We had to go into Slo-Mo to pass through the gutted town of Woodward, Oklahoma just after a twister had made it look akin to views of my walking tour through Berlin in ’58. BTW, we have a major fault which passes through Portland and Vancouver, WA.

Is that a chirp from the quarter pole I hear from our jockey, Mr Dorsey and has he thrown a cross as well? I await the call of Trevor Denman calling out “And moving like an express train on the outside…”

  • Stacy D. Smith

Seems like all the “supporting” reports were all referencing Dougherty. Appears there’s nothing confirmed.

As much as I would love to have Cooks or Beckham at 23, I am beginning to hope for a trade down into the second round and an extra third round pick. Of course, that means such a trade will not be possible until the first day of the draft when another team wanting someone will panic and contact the Chiefs to move up. The only time pre-draft moves are made is when a team is sitting near the top of the heap. But, we might or might not lose such as either of the two wide outs above, but, in perusing Walter Camp’s 2nd and 3rd round, it looks as though there will be plenty of talent, offensive line and safety, out there in those lower rounds. Hey, Brian Dempsey or Stacy, what do you think about the offensive tackle from Tennessee for a third round pickup. In addition, there will be guards available, also. Perhaps, Xavier Su-a-Filo, guard from UCLA in the second and a tackle and safety in the 3rd?
