Chiefs Free Agent Watch 2014: B.J. Raji Ready To Eat Kansas City BBQ?

One intriguing free agent prospect this off season is Green Bay Packers defensive lineman B.J. Raji. Scheduled to hit free agency next week, it would appear as if re-signing him is not on the top of the Pack’s priority list.

Obviously because Raji is in Green Bay, the connection is automatically made with Kansas City Chiefs general manager John Dorsey. Because Dorsey’s last gig was in the personnel department with the Packers, he had a hand in drafting Raji. The pro bowl lineman has had a good run in Green Bay racking up 10.5 sacks and an interception — with a touchdown…what? — during his first five season.

Though his natural position is playing the nose tackle, Raji has been moved around on the line to defensive end. Indications are he prefers the nose tackle position, which could be a deal breaker, considering the Chiefs have one of those already in Dontari Poe.

Still, bringing in Raji for a visit and seeing how he worked out on the line as a run-stuffing defensive end wouldn’t be a horrible idea.

What do you think, Addicts? Should the second half of the “discount double check duo” take his act to K.C.? Sound off below.
