Your 2013 NFL Fantasy Player of the Year is Jamaal Charles.

Charles had a tremendous season for the Chiefs, totaling 1,980 yards of total offense and 19 total touchdowns. Had he played the final game of the season, he would have been the 10th player in NFL history to amass 2,000 yards from scrimmage and 20 touchdowns in a single season. As one would imagine, those numbers translate quite nicely to fantasy football.

Where Charles really shined was the fantasy playoffs. In weeks 15 and 16, when most leagues have their playoffs, Charles combined for 359 yards from scrimmage and six touchdowns. Those numbers were good enough to win a lot of people* their fantasy league.

This might not be the only award Charles wins tonight as he should be a serious contender for MVP and Offensive Player of the Year.

The NFL Honors Awards (redundant?) are tonight, and the NFL twitter account is tweeting out some of the winners before the show airs at 7 p.m. on Fox. A red carpet show should be on right now on NFL Network if you are into that sort of thing.
