Chiefs React To Loss on Twitter

It’s always tough to blow a big lead, but especially when it happens in the playoffs.

The Kansas City Chiefs were well on their way to the second round of the NFL playoffs with a large 28-point lead in the third quarter, but that all came crashing down. The Colts came all the way back down 10-38 and ended up beating the Chiefs 45-44. That’s the definition of a heartbreak, and some of the Chiefs players expressed that on Twitter after the game.

Despite the tough way to end the season, without a doubt, Kansas City has a lot to build on. Jamaal Charles is one of the best players in the league, Alex Smith is really starting to shine and this defense has the pieces to be elite. Remember, this is a team that started the year 9-0 and was arguably one of the better stories in the NFL in 2013.

The Chiefs provided us with a ton of great memories this season. Use the comments below to give them a shootout, say thanks!

Thanks for all your hard work! Some people dream of success…while others wake up and work hard at it. Go Chiefs

Thank you guys so much. No matter what anybody says, this was one hell of a year. Even though we lost. Next year will be a true testament to the chiefs strength as they have one of the hardest schedules in the league taking on the NFC west and afc east while facing a Very good bronco and chargers team. I will always and forever be a chiefs fan no matter how many times they lose. (And that’s saying a lot from someone who grew up in Denver and lived there for 19 years). All we need to do now is keep rebuilding and take this year as a reminder that anything is possible! As always go chiefs!!!

Thank you Chiefs for an entertaining year! Also thanks to the guys at AA for reading material and discussion all season. Here’s to a great off season! Go Chiefs 2014!

Loved the season, despite the ending!! It will only get better, and this team continues to prove it. Go Chiefs, love the effort you guys continue to put forth!!!

Sure does sting!! But thank you for all your amazing & hard work!! Your fans believe in you & love you!!

Helluva ride, guys. As much as it hurts as a fan, a lot of that is because we’ve loved watching you all play and want the rest of the league to see how good you are. I’m looking forward to next season when you WILL get that playoff win, and hopefully more.

Great year chiefs.. I think we need work in the secondary and receivers and 2014 should be a hell of a year, despite schedule.. We also need to get out title back as the loudest stadium to play play in so our opponents can feel the chiefs kingdom!!! Good job to Dorsey and Reid for turning the program around as quick as they did!!

Great season, if this loss hurt us fans it had to kill the players. I’m saying it here, we get our first playoff win next year!
Smith, Charles, Bowe and the O line will be awesome next year. Fisher will be next year’s Poe, a second year sensation. He just needed that first year to figure things out in the NFL.
Can’t wait for the off season moves by Dorsey, the OTA’s and the draft.

I want to here all the lame excuses from the Defensive players and coaches alike. That was one of the saddest performances I have ever seen. Sutton doesn’t know what he is doing and Lewis needs to go.

As a lifelong Chiefs fan,(I was at the 1971 Christmas Day game vs. the Dolphins), this one hurts more. I would rather we would have lost 30-10 then give up a 28 point lead and lose. Never the less, I am proud of this team and all it accomplished this year. If you had told me last august that we would be 11 and 5 and going to the playoffs, I would have had you committed.
