Deone Bucannon – 6’1 215lbs – Washington State

Bucannon is a three year starter and has been nothing but solid since the get go. Another safety prospect with an excellent size and speed combination that opposing tight ends should watch out for. In 2011, Bucannon had 80 tackles, three interceptions, and four passes defended. Last year, Bucannon had 106 tackles, four interceptions, four passes defended, and one four forced fumble. He had 72 tackles and five interceptions this year. I think it’s safe to say that if Bucannon put up those kinds of numbers in the SEC that he would be in first round consideration but look for Bucannon to be a mid second to early third round pick and be well worth it for the team willing to take the chance.
