Loucheiz Purifoy – 6’1 190lbs – Florida

Now we get to one of the more prototypical corner backs general managers seem to be looking for these days. Purifoy is very fast for his size and may be the fastest corner eligible in the draft this year. He is very physical and excels in man-coverage. In 2012, Purifoy totaled 51 tackles, five passes defended, and three forced fumbles. Purifoy had his breakout game of the season in week six against Arkansas where he had one sack against a team only giving up 0.6 sacks per game for the season. As well as forcing a fumble, having three passes defended and returning his first pick six of his career for 48 yards. I think that the size/speed combination will dazzle general managers come combine time and Purifoy will not make it out of the first round. There are too many teams who have seen what an elite secondary can do for a team in today’s NFL.
