Arrowhead #3: Justin Houston, OLB

On a night when the defense was uncharacteristically unspectacular, Justin Houston was productive. He led the team in tackles with 10. Kansas City couldn’t get after the quarterback at all though, and that’s something that will have to be addressed. For as good as Houston has been this season, he’ll have to be better next time around.

Arrowhead #2: Dwayne Bowe, WR

Dwayne Bowe had a rough week off the field leading up to this game, so it wouldn’t have been surprising if he didn’t perform well in Denver. Fortunately for the Chiefs, that wasn’t the case. Bowe had a good game, especially in the first half, and finished with 57 yards and a touchdown on four catches. He made some very tough catches, including the touchdown catch—which was an extremely physical route to the end zone.

Arrowhead #1: Alex Smith, QB

Kyle Terada-USA TODAY Sports

For a quarterback who leads an offense that can’t get it done, Smith played a pretty good game. He made a few great throws and continued to make plays with his feet as well. Smith was 21-of-45 for 230 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions. He also ran the ball five times for 52 yards. This is the Alex Smith who can win big games for the Chiefs, but he can’t do it alone.
