Kyle Terada-USA TODAY Sports

To be very honest, passing out Arrowheads after a Chiefs loss is a completely foreign concept to me in 2013.

Sure, we did it in the preseason, but everybody knows that doesn’t count. In regard to finding good performances in a loss, I haven’t had to do that yet this season.

That’s a testament to how great the Chiefs have been in 2013, and despite losing to the Broncos the other night, you should expect the great play to continue.

I would have given out a 2a to Bowe and a 2b to Fasano for that TD catch. Talk about going up to get it and then having body control when he hit the field of play. I just wish that would have been the game winner instead of just the second TD.

I’d take away the bowe arrowhead or the or the smith’s and give it to Eric fisher instead as bad as he’s been this year the break away they showed of him going toe to toe with Von miller and as many times as I tried to dog him he did pretty good

    • Jarad

The clips of him.going toe to toe with Miller are a little Deceiving. Only Cooper graded out worse than Fisher (-4.0) with PFF for the Chiefs. Id lean towards Colquit. And Alex Smith didnt have a bad game by any means, and the WRs killed the CHIEFS, but 47% completions doesnt cut it regardless.

Fasano or “The Bearded One” deserve the arrowhead over Bowe. Sorry, but too many dropped easy passes and he does not fight for passes thrown his way. Fisher deserves an arrowhead due to his performance against Von Miller. While he did not dominate him, he is quickly becoming adept at the RT position. Let’s not forget that he is a rookie and he is playing opposite where he is used to playing. While A Smith has so e good stats, heis holding on to the ball way too long – and receivers can’t break free of coverage or come back to help him. I would give the arrowhead to Colquit, even though he didn’t pin them (touchbacks too often) but at least had none block despite the pressure in his face on each kick.

    • Jim Harper

Come on Doc. I love Colquitt but this not one of his better games, and I agree with all the other picks.

  • Doc

Can we give away raspberries? We need to create a new category for bad performance. The referring crew for this game deserve the raspberry award. The holding by the Denver oline was sickening – and not once was it called. Hard to believe Manning was never sacked or hit for the whole game. Bum ankle and all. Whe. Hali’s head is locked inside a lineman’s elbow and is twisted against the direction his body is going, well maybe they need new glasses. There were also a few blocks in the back that wee not called either. I am not crying over spilled milk or being a sore loser – but when the officiating appears to be stacked against you, it makes it even hard to win.

    • Jim Harper

I agree. One play in particular their LT had his arm hooked around AS11′s neck right in view of the referee. I don’t think Tamba got a call all night which was down right criminal.

Boo on the Smith arrowhead. Boo!! ha

  • micah stephenson

I disagree on giving Alex an Arrowhead. I know he had 220 yards and 2 tds but that his best game yet and it only managed us 17 pts. I mean I guess he gets an Arrowhead but thats the best he got? Dam. Not impressed!

    • CSconce

At least he’s not Geno Smith….Man did we ever dodge a bullet there!!

      • micah stephenson

Geno wud prolly b do n better than alex if he was this team. The jets are a wildcard team just like the Chiefs. How ironic wud it b if the hets beat us in the playoffs? Geno will get better, Will Alex? Not much if at all. Judge Geno after 10 games? P.Manning led the lg n ints his rookie season. Did we dodge a bullet on EJ, Wilson, kopernick, Foyles, Dalton, and all the other young strong armed QBs we passed on too?

        • Jason Seibel

We did dodge a bullet on Kaepernick. I bet you Jim Harbaugh would give his left testicle (and probably his right) to have Alex Smith back this season. Kaepernick has looked terrible. E.J. is walking hamstring, Dalton has taken about three steps back this season and Foles came out of nowhere. As for Wilson, the kid is good, but NOBODY saw that coming. Nobody. Geno would not do well on this team. He’s not smart enough. There’s more to football than being able to throw a long ball. You have to be smart and thus far, Geno has shown a very small football IQ. He continues to make the same mistakes over and over again.

          • micah stephenson

            Lol. No way.
Harbaugh knows alex ain’t got it. He rather lose a few more games and develope CK than keep running the conservative plays you haft to for Alex. Kop just won 5 out 6 games. Geno still has the jets in the wildcard while learning the nfl level game. Dalton has the bengals winning the devision. EJ will b fine. Dont matter if foyles or Wilson came from nowhere even tho Wilson was said to have 1st rd talent. I wanted Foyles too, reminds me of a younger big ben, instead we Jeff Allen. Looks like your going to find a reason to pick apart every QB to justify not getting one. So will you b digging, looking for reasons to not get any of the Good QBs next yr too? Next yr will you have a reason for not getting Bridgewater, Mariota, Hundley, Manziel, Boyd, and others? Its been 30 yrs sinse we took a 1st rd QB.

          • Jason Seibel

I’m not picking anybody apart, Michah. I think Kaepernick is a gimmick that’s lost his shine. He’s not a QB that you can build your team around. Look at him. He’s done nothing this year. Same with Geno. There’s a reason he went into a freefall. He’s not that good at the pro level. Foles? If he would have come to KC this season instead of Smith and was performing like he is now, I would be super excited. Had the Chiefs drafted Wilson instead of Seattle, I would have been estatic! But that didn’t happen. As far as getting a QB next year, I’m not opposed to it. But I’m not opposed to being 9-1 and tied for first place in the division either. You say this is a Wildcard team, and I disagree. I think this is a division winning team. And I think they still have a shot at winning the division. Smith isn’t the weakest link on the Chiefs. Everyone needs to get better. Period. By the way, I gave you a huge shout out on AA Radio last night. Not sure if you listed to the podcast but you should check it out!
