Peyton Manning has been on a roll this season, leaving opposing teams in the wake of his record setting season.
With the Kansas City Chiefs facing the Denver Broncos in what is sure to be the biggest game of the season so far for both teams, we wanted to give you a glimpse into the mind of Manning as he spoke to the press today about his health and facing our Kansas City Chiefs.
Peyton Manning on his receivers going up against the Chiefs corners,
"They’re good players and they’re playing well. When you’re playing against good cover corners, it’s about running good routes; it’s about giving the receivers the best chance to be successful with play calling. It’s trying to have a mix of some running game and some passing game. You try to be somewhat balanced. It’s always a challenge going against good cover corners and the Chiefs definitely have those."
He also talked a little bit about Marcus Cooper,
"He’s playing well. Obviously, when you’re drafted by another team and you get released from training camp, it’s not very often do you see a player going and starting on the top defense in the NFL. So, it’s a real credit to him certainly, and he’s playing really well. He’s making a lot of plays and breaking up passes."
Manning was asked about facing the Kansas City pass rush,
"They have a great pass rush. They lead the league in sacks. That all speaks for itself. That’s something that’s a priority every game, trying to be balanced, trying to add some run game in there and give all our players the best chance to be successful. It’s no different this week than any other week. You’re kind of saying all the things about their defensive line that are all accurate. It’s an excellent pass rush, and they lead the league in sacks."
Finally the big question on everyone’s mind is will Peyton Manning be ready come this Sunday night and if he will be 100% and he simply answered “Yes”
What do you think addicts, with Manning nursing that injury should Bronco fans be concerned about him going up against this stout KC D?
