Chiefs vs. Bills: 5 Questions For A Bills Fan

The Kansas City Chiefs are potentially hours away from a 9-0 record and an undefeated half (plus one) season heading into the bye week.

First and foremost though, they’ve got to beat the Buffalo Bills.

Earlier today we published a Q&A session with BuffaLowDown editor Dennis Amo, who  asked me a few questions about the Chiefs. In return, Amo answered some of my questions about the Bills.

My questions and his answers are below. As you prepare for the game or even while you are watching it, keep these answers in mind.

1. How do Bills fans feel about Jeff Tuel?

As a starting QB, Bills fans are excited, but no where near as excited with EJ Manuel behind the helm.  His first outing on prime time earlier this year showed that he had not gotten any real tie with the starters.  It has been different since then, so there should be a better showing.  He has the tools to win, but they are raw and need to be refined.

2. Who’s The Bills Most Explosive And Dangerous Offensive Player?

Steve Mitchell-USA TODAY Sports

I have to say the CJ Spiller is still the most explosive player on the team.  He can be inconsistent, but just when you think he is down, he breaks off a run for 20+ yards and the excitement, expecially at home games, is elevated astronomically.

3. How has Mario Williams worked out in Buffalo so far? Is he a fan favorite?

Williams coming in last year was a big surprise because Buffalo never spends money to get the big players or they just don’t want to come here.  It was a big deal for him to come here. He was able to get 10.5 sacks last year with an injured wrist that he had surgery on during the year and missed some games.  Having him healthy and at 11.0 sacks right now, the defensive line is a front where pressure can be attained with only a 4 man rush.  I think at this point Bills fans are extremely happy with Super Mario back in his healthy form.

4. What’s your take on Doug Marrone?

Robert Deutsch-USA TODAY Sports

Marrone is a good coach and really was able to pull around a struggling Syracuse program.  Here for the Bills, we need that to happen too.  It has been way to long for any type of winning here.  He is a good coach and brings a philosphy that the players, coaches and fans are able to get behind and the excitement for the games is 10-fold from last year.

5. What are your predictions for this game, and why?

I think with the Bills being close in just about every game this year, it is going to be a hard fought game.  I think that the Bills will come to play.  The defense has been the squad to watch.  If they are able to get pressure then the Bill will win.  I think Super Mario is ready to take over the number 1 spot for sacks this week.  Bills win even behind Tuel or Lewis.  27-21
