Buffalo Players KC Must Plan For

So far in the 2013 season there have been some surprises, and no surprise is bigger than the Kansas City Chiefs being the last unbeaten team in the NFL.

The Chiefs take their 8-0 record into Buffalo to face the Bills. The Bills season started out good with a new quarterback and a lot of excitement. However their season has been plagued with injuries and their once winning ways have taken a turn for the worse. Even though the Bills are suffering from the injury bug they still have several players that the Chiefs will need to plan for in order to keep their perfect record into the bye and then into Denver.

1. Mario Williams Defensive End

Welcome to the heart of the Bills defensive line. Williams is always a threat lined up across from an offensive line. Tied with the Chiefs Justin Houston for the most sacks in the NFL at 11, he is strong and fast and has a knack for getting after the quarterback. If the Chiefs want to be successful on the ground, the path to that goal goes through Williams.

2. Kiko Alonso Middle Inside Linebacker

Another defensive player on that the Chiefs need to be aware of. Leading the Bills in tackles with 81 he is a staple in the middle of the field and goes after the ball. He has four interceptions on the year,(the most for a rookie linebacker) and despite the fact in the last four games he has not had one, Alex Smith needs to be aware of Alonso when throwing the ball out to his receivers.

3. CJ Spiller / Fred Jackson Running Backs

Had to cheat with this one. Both Spiller and Jackson have been hit with injuries. News today was the Spiller is probable for Sunday and Jackson had been nursing an knee injury while Spiller has an ankle issue. The reason both of these Bills backs are on here, is despite which one plays they are still both backfield threats when healthy. Combined they have 787 rushing yards and 7 touchdowns, with the veteran Jackson with six. With as good as the defensive front of the Chiefs have been playing, and possibly an undrafted rookie at the quarterback, the emphasis could be on the running game. Dontari Poe and company will create havoc up the middle forcing the rookie quarterback to throw to the Chiefs dominate secondary.

What do you think Addicts? Who do you think the Chiefs need to be aware of in order to stay perfect?
