For the Kansas City Chiefs being the lone unbeaten in the NFL is not the first thing on their mind. They are focused and taking it one day at a time. This Sunday the 3-4 Cleveland Browns come into town for the last of three straight home games.

Quarterback Alex Smith on facing the Cleveland Browns Defense,

"Yeah, they’re good on the defensive side of the field. Just looking at them, they’re not a weak group. They’re good up front, stout. They’re good on the edge and then they’re good on the back end as well, physical on the backend. They’re aggressive and certainly a great challenge for us"

Smith on the Chiefs being the remaining undefeated team,

"I mean, to be honest, I don’t think it’s something that we’re thinking a whole lot about. For us, I think this team has done a good job of being short-sighted and keeping it about football. Every day it’s about football, it’s about the details, going out and doing your job and preparing yourself. I think this team has the right mindset that we haven’t gotten ahead of ourselves at all."

Alex Smith was asked about the offense and if they are getting picked apart too much,

"You are certainly trying to correct your mistakes and improve on your weaknesses as a group, and like I said, get better as the weeks go on. But certainly, the focus, don’t get me wrong, is to find a way to win every week. That’s why we’re out here."

Smith on the hurry up tempo of the offense,

"I think we’ve done a good job of it some weeks more than others. Certainly is something we have and always have in our back pocket, depending on that week. When we feel like it’s an advantage for us, we will do more of it. I think it’s a great change of pace for us, something we’ve spent a lot of time working on."

Linebacker Derrick Johnson on facing backup quarterbacks in back to back games this week,

"You’re going in every week respecting every opponent, but at the same time, they have the same offense. So yeah we don’t really care who plays at quarterback as long as we execute our defensive scheme and what we have going on, we’ll be pretty good."

Defensive end Tyson Jackson on facing the Browns offense,

"They’re keeping it balanced. They have (Willis) MaGahee at running back, a really good offensive line up front. We don’t know too much about their quarterback situation right now, but they have some talented receivers so we have to be out there on our P’s and Q’s this Sunday."

Facing verteran quarterback Jason Campbell in the Browns offense,

"Well, I mean he’s a veteran quarterback. He’s been around a long time, and he’s able to read defenses. He understands where the ball will go on a particular play. We just have our hands full with him. He’s been around such a long time."

Safety Eric Berry on the confidence of the defense,

"We’ve played a lot of football together, this defense, this team, so the chemistry is there. We’ve been through a lot of scenarios and different types of situations. When they present themselves, we pretty much just try to make the adjustments and move forward from there."

Berry spoke about being 7-0 on the year,

"It’s still early. We’re not even half way through the season yet, but we love winning. We love winning games, but it’s about being 1-0 this week so if we win this game that will be another rung on the ladder."

Linebacker Tamba Hali on the biggest challenge with the Browns,

"Every game we come into and have to stop the run. That’s our focus. So as long as we stop the run, we can focus on what we want to do and what coaches are installing into the game plan."

Finally Tamba Hali was asked about facing teams that have changes at the quarterback position and how the defense responds,

"We’re not worried about what they’re doing, we’re concerned about what we have to do. Coaches put in a lot of things for us to remember and do. With that, we have to focus on what we have to get done and just execute."
