Anthony Johnson – 6’3 304lbs – LSU

Anthony Johnson has been nicknamed “The Freak” by his teammates which is high praise coming from a team like LSU that’s known for it’s incredible athletes. Johnson’s speed and size combination rivals that of our very own Dontari Poe. The Chiefs have had plenty of experience with LSU defensive lineman and have so far been rather disappointed. Until proven otherwise, I would expect the same from Johnson. In 2012, Johnson replaced first round pick Michael Brockers and did so admirably. He totaled 30 tackles, 10 tackles for a loss, three sacks, and one pass batted away. He’s on pace for an even better season this year with 24 tackles, 5.5 tackles for a loss, two sacks, and one interception thus far. There is room for Johnson’s stock to rise if he stays on this pace and he’ll likely blow scouts away at the combine. Barring any injuries, I expect Johnson to be an early 2nd round pick.
