Many people need their coffee to get up and going in the morning. Here at Arrowhead Addict, we understand that for a Chiefs fan, coffee is simply not enough.

Here’s all that’s happening around Chiefs Kingdom this morning.

Welcome to The Morning Fix.

It’s Gameday Eve in Chiefs Kingdom and everyone is looking forward to meeting the New York Giants who have the exact opposite record of the Chiefs at 0-3. However, no one on this team is taking that record into consideration.

“I really haven’t looked at that. That’s not how I go about business. You’re so busy trying to prepare your own squad that you don’t put a lot of time there; plus, you know there’s so much parity in this league than anything, that if you’re not right, anything can sway real quickly and can go the opposite way. We just come in and we focus in on the team and make sure we study them and then we get ourselves right; that’s how we go about business. I don’t get caught up in records.” – Coach Andy Reid

As an indication that the entire Chiefs team has bought into their coach’s mentality, other players echoed Coach Reid’s sentiments. For a look at the Chiefs’ philosophy on the Giants, check out the entire article from Reid Ferrin at kcchiefs.com.

Terez Paylor of The Kansas City Star ran a great piece yesterday about Donnie Avery taking advantage of his opportunity with the Chiefs. Check it out here.

Finally, the Chiefs talked about winning the field position game. There is none better in the league at pinning the opposing team deep than Chiefs punter, Dustin Colquitt.

According to the article at the KC Star from yesterday, the average starting position for Chiefs opponents is the 20 yard line, while the Chiefs average starting position is the 37. Check out the whole article by Todd Palmer from the Star here.

That’s it for today, Addicts! See you tomorrow for Gameday!
