In this series of articles, I will be picking one position group each week from which I will be choosing four players to evaluate.  There will be three that you’ve probably heard of, and one that you probably haven’t. Please enjoy and I look forward to reading your comments.

Taylor Lewan – 6’8 310lbs – Michigan

Taylor Lewan is one of my favorite tackles coming out of the draft. He is an enormous prospect but surprisingly lean for his height and his position. That’s not to say that 310lbs is considered “skinny” but he’s no D.J. Fluker and he’ll definitely need put on some pounds before he reaches his ideal weight for the NFL. Many were surprised when Lewan decided to stay for his senior year and if he had decided to come out, we may be watching him play RT for the Chiefs as opposed to the struggling Eric Fisher. He often draws comparisons to former Michigan tackle Jake Long, the son of Hall of Famer Howie Long. I think that Lewan is a sure-fire first round pick and don’t be surprised if he is one of the first three tackles taken in the 2014 NFL draft.
