Many people need their coffee to get up and going in the morning. Here at Arrowhead Addict, we understand that for a Chiefs fan, coffee is simply not enough.
Here’s all that’s happening around Chiefs Kingdom this morning.
Welcome to The Morning Fix.
–The Kansas City Chiefs are 3-0. Let that sink it, take a moment to celebrate however you see fit, and the read on.
–Not only are the Chiefs undefeated, but they picked up the win over Andy Reid’s former team, the Philadelphia Eagles. Reid gave his thoughts post game to Alex Flanagan of NFL Network (h/t Josh Katzowitz CBSSPorts.com):
“It was good to come back like this,” Reid told NFL Network after the game. “You never think you’re going to be in these shoes. But nowhere has red felt better than today.”
–Heading into the game we knew that if the Chiefs could force turnovers, they’d put themselves in a great position to win this game in Philadelphia. That’s exactly what Kansas City did, forcing three fumbles and two interceptions. Reid spoke on the turnover effect, per Sam Mellinger of The Kansas City Star:
“Really what the game came down to was the takeaways. The turnovers,” Reid said. “I’m sure (Eagles coach Chip Kelly) is saying the same thing on the other side.”
–Speaking of turnovers, or lack thereof, check out this Tweet from Sports Illustrated’s Peter King (h/t Katzowitz):
Alex Smith’s last 17 starts: 3 losses, 24 touchdowns, 5 interceptions.
