David Yankey – 6’5 311lbs – Stanford

David Yankey started at left guard in 2011 where he was more than servicable. He then moved to left tackle in 2012 after Jonathan Martin was drafted by Miami. Some may think making the move from left guard to left tackle may result in a lack of quality, but you’d be wrong. Yankey made the move to left tackle and excelled beyond anyone’s expectations by allowing only one sack in fourteen starts. But what’s even scarier is that he’s better at left guard, where he’ll reside for this season. He was awarded the 2012 Morris Trophy as the most outstanding offensive lineman in the Pac-12. He may not be at the top of anyone’s draft board like some position players, but that doesn’t make his value any less prominent.
