Ricky Stanzi and Vince Agnew Among 14 Cut: Chiefs Fans Say Goodbye

John Rieger-USA TODAY Sports

The Kansas City Chiefs have cut 14 players and need to get rid of one more before Tuesday in order to get down to 75.

The full list of cuts can be found here, courtesy of Darin Gantt of NBC’s Pro Football Talk.

The most notable name on the cut list is quarterback Ricky Stanzi, who accomplished absolutely nothing in Kansas City. He did have a pretty good career at Iowa, but unfortunately, that career did not translate to the NFL.

Another name on the list is cornerback Vince Agnew, who drew the ire of many Chiefs fans this season for his bad play in the secondary.

We took to Twitter to ask Chiefs Nation to say goodbye to the two notable players who were cut. Here’s how the Addicts responded:

We got a few of these. Good riddance.

Here’s a very logical fan, who called it how it was:

This one made me laugh:

And these next two tweets win the Internet:

Thanks for responding, Addicts. If your tweet wasn’t used or you didn’t sound off, make sure to comment below. I’m sure there’s going to be a ton of discussion in regard to these cuts.

After that Saints game Agnew was a goner. There’s nothing he could’ve done to save himself after that. I would be horrified if this guy actually made it passed the first cut with the Chiefs

I agree, he probably allowed as many yards and td’s in his short stint, than the rest of the secondary combined. Hard to imagine counting on him in a regular season game if we had to dig into the depth chart due to injury.
