Many people need their coffee to get up and going in the morning. Here at Arrowhead Addict, we understand that for a Chiefs fan, coffee is simply not enough.
Here’s all that’s happening around Chiefs Kingdom this morning.
Welcome to The Morning Fix.
Let’s start off with something fun on this beautiful Thursday morning. Chris Strauss of For The Win put together a list of “useless facts” about your favorite team. The list features an Andy Reid yard sale and Dwayne Bowe’s motivational schedule. Check it out.
Chiefs’ safety Eric Berry had some high marks for coach Reid’s first camp with the Chiefs, per
Reid Ferrin of KCChiefs.com:
On the defensive side of the ball, Chiefs Pro Bowl safety Eric Berry rated the Andy Reid-led camp to be five-star quality.
“A-plus-plus,” Berry said. “I feel like we made progress every day. We didn’t take any steps back and we have a good feel from what is expected out of us and what we should expect out of the coaches. It was one of the most-productive camps I’ve been a part of.”
“I think it’s been a great experience,” Houston said. “Coach Reid took care of us and we all got better, on-and-off the field; he took care of our bodies as well. So, it was a great experience.”
“As a quarterback, your biggest pet peeve is that, you throw a ball too high and (the coach) tells you to get it down, right?” Smith said. “It’s like, ‘Well, thanks. I could have told you that. We all know that.’ Coach Reid’s so great at ‘why.’ Why did you throw that too high. And talking to you about that: ‘Hey, you’re standing up too tall and your front shoulder went up.’ He does such a great job of doing that. Right there on the spot, he sees it.”
Smith, in particular, is going to be an interesting watch this Friday, as the Chiefs go up against his former team, the San Francisco 49ers, in preseason game No. 2.
