According to multiple reports, the Kansas City Chiefs are calling off their trade talks for LT Branden Albert until the end of the first round of the 2013 NFL Draft.

It looks like the Dolphins may wait to see if one of the top tackles falls to them or if they can move up a few spots to select one them for less than what they would have to pay the Chiefs.

If Miami can find a trade partner to move up, they may still have to part with a second-round pick but the amount of money they would have to pay the LT they draft will be significantly less than what they would have to pay Albert if the trade goes through.

At this point, it looks like the best way for the Chiefs to regain the second-round pick they traded to the San Francisco 49ers for QB Alex Smith will be to find a trade partner of their own.

I have bad feeling about this. I was convinced the Chiefs would be able to deal Albert but now I am not so sure.

If the Chiefs can’t trade Albert, do you think they should still draft a tackle at No. 1?
