Von Miller On Luke Joeckel: I would get to whip his a** twice a year

Denver Broncos linebacker Von Miller was asked recently about the Kansas City Chiefs potentially selecting his former teammate, Luke Joeckel with the No. 1 pick in the 2013 NFL Draft.

According to Trey Wingo of ESPN, Miller would like for the Chiefs to select Joeckel…but not so he could see his friend twice a year to exchange pleasantries.

From Wingo:

I’d lay into Von Miller here but I am sure his comment was made all in good fun. In every interview I have ever seen with Miller, the Broncos linebacker seems to be a pretty nice dude.

The fact of the matter is, Miller is not a nice dude ont he football field. He is an absolute beast in pretty much all phases of his game, especially rushing the passer. I am sure Miller likes Joeckel just fine but you don’t get to Miller’s level without being a fierce competitor. If Joeckel is standing in Miller’s way of getting to Chiefs QB Alex Smith, well I am sure Miller intends to beat him.

Miller’s words are also good to stoke the rivalry between the Chiefs and Broncos. If Joeckel is indeed selected by the Chiefs, well, I know KC fans will love to watch Joeckel put Miller on his ass multiple times a game, twice a year.

Hopefully in 2013, the Chiefs can do more than throw out tough talk in order to further the KC, Denver rivalry.

Hopefully, they can further the rivalry by beating the Broncos.

The two know each other and maybe he knows something we don’t but they have not practiced against each other for a couple of years. That being said Miller is a good player for the donkeys however what ever way the chiefs go in the draft between the two tackles we will be a much better team this year and We will win some plays and so will they it is going to come down to who wins the most, so I say let the games begin.

Same goes for a Chief’s team that has Albert as the starting LT.

    Beat Fisher, chump!

    • micah stephenson

Lol. I agree. I trust Fisher to tango with Miller more than I trust Joke-OL

      • thabear04

Did they say Fisher had better foot work then Joke-Ol lol

  • micah stephenson

He wud beat the shit out of Jokel twice a year!

  • kmon

Joeckel doesn’t put anyone on they’re ass he just pushes them lol he’s not a pancaker. fisher over joeckel. and von Miller is talkin now but we’ll see come game time

  • Steve Osborn

Miller is dreaming – especially since he will be double teamed virtually every play this coming season without his buddy Elvis on the other side. Which other Donkey do you have to worry about blocking?

    • Darkwolf1414

Derek Wolfe made TOO MANY good plays against the Chiefs last year.

  • David MF Kemp II

I pretty much hate the Broncos with every ounce of my body, but that was HILARIOUS hahaha
but seriously, if we cant trade Brandon just keep him, pay him, and draft Dion Jordan

Fisher is biggerb and stronger and is pretty much just as good with MORE upside for the future but can play now as well… DRAFT FISHER!!!

  • Jason Taylor

Miller gets one free pass because he talks about DT as his inspiration. Just one.

  • Marcus J. Walker

Even though I’am a die hard Chiefs fan, but Vonage would eat Joeckel for brunch haha

Hearing now that Miami is out of the Branden Albert sweepstakes, and now the Dolphins are trying to trade up to the Raiders #3 spot for a LT. Also, the Chargers are willing to negotiate a trade with the Chiefs. The Chargers are also willing to part with their high second rounder. This is all just speculation though.

    • Darkwolf1414

I don’t see us trading a proven LT to a division opponent.

      • mg2098

If they offer the contract Albert wants, and are willing to give up more compensation; I think the Chiefs deal. Scenario; Miami is only willing to give up 54 and not 42. Chargers willing to give up #45 and their 6th rounder. I would put money on the Chargers in that case. Is it good business? Do I like that idea? Absolutely not, but if that trade allows the Chiefs to select a stud at #45 that wont be their at #52 then I say do it. I think there is a player the Chiefs covet in the top of round 2. The Chiefs have made it no secret they want back in round 2.

        • Darkwolf1414

I see what you’re saying. I would much rather have the Chargers not have a capable LT blocking Tamba when we play them. Not to mention a LT who has practiced against Tamba for the past several years.

Von Miller is an arrogant jackass!

  • Da Menace

Von Miller please! I wanna see Derrick Johnson look up at the scoreboard after we play the donks like DT did in 97 when we played the 49ers and a reporter asked him about the game and he said, we played our hearts out today and showed the world what we could do and that’s why ( looks at scoreboard) it was 44-9…Go Chiefs!!!

I recently saw an interview with Von Miller on NFL network (in the last week) in which he talked about Joeckel, and he wasn’t disrespectful at all. I think this was simply a jocular (or Joeckelur) tweet.

  • ArrowFan

He looks like he is taking a dump in the pic

    • Darkwolf1414

When you gotta go, you gotta go!

  • Royal Chief Fan

Why do people think Albert is a good LT he could be a pro bowl guard not even in the top 25 best LT. He’s not worth 9 mil against the cap we have to trade him to free up money for a LT and RT.

C’mon Patrick, “Hopefully’s” don’t win championships… Git ‘er Done is more to my liking! All one has to say to Vonn is, PROVE-IT little girl, otherwise shut yer pie-hole!! Between Joeckel’s finesse, and Alex’s legs, Miller will be on oxygen midway thru the 3rd… Looks like we have real leadership now that understands how to incapacitate blabbermouths. GAWD I can’t stand the donkey’s!!!

All I can say is that I would love to see these guys go at it. That is what football is all about if you are a true fan. I think there would be wins and losses on both sides. When two top notch players go head to head there is hardly ever a clear cut winner.
