The Kansas City Chiefs continue their “Spring Break Scouting Vacation” today. After spending last week in Texas and Oklahoma, KC is down in sunny Floriday to visit “The Swamp.”

According to Adam Schefter of ESPN.com, they’re there to have a workout with DT Shariff Floyd.

From Schedter:

Floyd is considered a top player in the draft and certainly could be in consideration for the No. 1 pick. The Florida Gator has been quickly rising up draft boards but as FanSided.com’s Josh Sanchez points out, he may be best suited in the 403 defuse, ala Glenn Dorsey.

"Floyd’s best fit is as a three-technique in a 4-3 defense, but many believe he is talented enough to bump outside as a five-tech in a 3-4 front. Of course, the Chiefs no better than ever that using a player like Floyd as a 3-4 defensive end may not work out. They had Glenn Dorsey as a cautionary tale.Texas A&M’s Luke Joeckel still has to be the favorite for the No. 1 overall selection, but don’t be surprised to hear some more defensive players linked to the pick as smokescreens begin to form as we approach the draft."

It is hard to know exactly what the Chiefs are thinking because there has been some talk of the defense running a 3-4/4-3 hybrid. Depending on how much 4-3 the Chiefs plan to use, a player like Floyd could be a big factor.

What do you think, Addicts? Should the Chiefs consider Floyd at No. 1?
