Minutes ago we told you the Chiefs were heading down to Texas A&M to work out Luke Joeckel, Damontre Moore and Sean Porter and now we can report that KC will also work out Oklahoma LT, Lane Johnson today.
From Adam Caplan:
A contingent of #Chiefs personnel including HC Andy Reid and GM John Dorsey are headed to Texas A&M to work out LT Luke Joeckel, per source.

These are visits Reid and Dorsey are going on themselves so they are clearly serious about looking at these players.
Johnson is widely regarded as the third-best OT prospect in this year’s class. Most draft experts have Joeckel No. 1 and Eric Fisher out of Central Michigan at No. 2.
Regardless of whether or not the Chiefs will trade LT Branden Albert, the team definitely needs a replacement for Eric Winston at RT. KC cut Winston, in a surprise move, earlier this offseason.
Here is a bit on Johnson’s strengths from NFL Draft Scout:
STRENGTHS: Johnson looks the part with a large frame and long arms (35″). He has quick feet to mirror and has an effortless kick-slide. Explosive off the snap and sets up quickly, using his extremely wide base to cover a large area. He digs his cleats in the turf and lowers his butt in pass protection with the strong upper body to control defenders.
Johnson does a nice job using his length to keep rushers at bay and uses his physical limbs to eliminate defenders with his nasty attitude. He has large, powerful hands and usually keeps his hands inside. Natural bender with flexible joints, contorting his frame and selling out for blocks. He locks out and seals defenders on the edge, doing a nice job engaging in space to create run lanes.
Has the competitive drive that scouts want for the position and the upside to continue to develop at the position
What do you think, Addicts? Will the Chiefs select Joeckel, Fisher, Johnson or someone else?
