Glenn Dorsey To Visit 49ers, According To Report

The Kansas City Chiefs were reportedly close to re-sgning DE Glenn Dorsey but now it is looking as if they were not able to get a deal done.

According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, Dorsey will be visiting the San Francisco 49ers.

From Schefter:

The Chiefs are expected to sign New York Jets DE Mike DeVito, which could mean that Dorsey is a goner. DeVito is a similar player to Dorsey in that he is a two-down, 3-4 run stuffer who isn’t particularly good at getting to the QB.

I have to say, I am bummed. I really thought the Chiefs would be able to get Dorsey back. I guess you can’t win them all.

My guess is that the Chiefs have an offer on the table but it may be that Dorsey wants to test the market. Can’t say I blame him.

If Dorsey is able to get a better offer than what he Chiefs are willing to pay, it very well may mean we’ve seen the last of him in KC.

What do you think Addicts? Are you sad Dorsey could sign with another team?

  • Kevin Williams

Nope, if he wants to go right before we start dominating. Let him go.

Can’t say I’m sad to see him go. I was actually hoping for Canty. Dorsey was at best average and perhaps below average for a #5 pick.
